So, if you have everything installed, you can proceed to the desired process. Run the program and click on the Phone button - Cable connection. After that, connect the device to the computer.

If your phone does not have Bluetooth or you cannot use the method of moving contacts through a memory card, there is no Wi-Fi and there is no possibility to use a computer, you can use this method.

Why is it not already used? This is due to the fact that a fixed number of numbers can be moved to the SIM card, there are some limitations on the number of characters in the contact name. This caused the demand for other ways of moving.

But still this method exists and is used. Let's look at how to transfer contacts from Windows Phone to Android, or from Android, or from Iphone:

  5. As soon as you insert the SIM card into new phone, you will have a complete list of contact information from the old device! Do not forget to transfer them to your phone.

Also on some older devices, usually under running Android  2.3, you can perform a similar action as follows:

Android-based smartphones have built-in functions for data synchronization, and contacts are no exception. You can save contacts in the Google cloud under your account without any problems, and then transfer them to a new device as soon as you log in with your login and password.

How to sync

If you need to save contact information in a separate file, then select the "Export". If you already have a file with contacts and you want to attach it to your account, then select the “Import” tab and specify the path to the file. Thus, you can easily transfer data from one Android device to another, view a single contact with all data in Excel and other similar programs.

The Contacts service provides the ability to integrate with other services, merge similar data, view contacts with which you communicate most frequently. You can also view additional data if the user has filled in some information about himself.

Method 3 - Bluetooth transmission

This is a separate function that allows you to transfer contact information using wireless network  Bluetooth from an old device to a new one. And by default it is activated when you turn on the new phone. If you have not used it before, then follow the steps below:

  1. Select the “Contacts” tab and click the “Data transfer” menu item.
  2. Click “Next” and select the phone brand from the list (the phone from which data will be transmitted).
  3. Click "Next" again and select the smartphone model from the general list. Built-in help system will help you with this.
  4. Again press the “Next” button and turn on the Bluetooth wireless connection on your old device, where contact information is stored.
  5. Within a few seconds, the system will display a complete list of devices in which you will need to select your device.
  6. To synchronize with the old smartphone, a new password will be requested on the new one. As soon as the password is entered, a list of contacts will appear. Select all the entries you want to transfer and click the Next tab. Within a few minutes, all entries will be sent to the new phone!

Manually scoring numbers is very long, especially if there are a lot of contacts. There are several ways in which the entire transfer process will take place in literally five minutes.

Transferring contacts using SIM and SD cards

You can transfer contacts using a SIM card. If the phone numbers are not stored in her memory, you must first copy them into it. To do this, go to the phone book and open the settings.

In the settings, select the item "Import / Export" and first mark the item from where the contacts will be copied. If all the numbers are stored in one place, for example, in the phone's memory, then select where you want to copy the contacts. In this case, select the SIM-card.

If the numbers are stored in different places, for example, in the phone’s memory and on the SD card, the transfer steps are the same, but the procedure will have to be done several times. First, copying data from the phone, and then from the flash drive.

After a new storage location has been selected, a list of your contacts will appear, from them you can select only those that you really need and not drag extra garbage from phone to phone.

After selecting the necessary contacts, click on "OK" and the transfer is completed. Now you can move the SIM card to a new phone and transfer it to internal memory  new smartphone. This is done in a similar way. Or just make sure that the phonebook displays contacts that are stored in the SIM card memory.

To do this, go back to the contacts - settings - contact filter, and select the SIM card.

In order to transfer contacts using an SD card, you need to perform the same procedure, only choose a drive instead of a SIM card.

Sync via Google Account

Each device owner on the Android platform has a Google account. It is mainly used to download applications from the Play Store, but an account can be very useful for other purposes.

By setting up synchronization, you can save not only contacts, but also messages, media files, and more. Especially if you have lost your phone or it has become inoperable, you will not have to recover the necessary information for a long time.

In order to enable synchronization, you need to go to the phone settings, select the “Accounts” item and click on your account  Google. Next will open a list of what needs to be synchronized. You can put a tick in front of all items or select only "Contacts". Now synchronization will occur automatically and all data will be saved in the mailbox.

If you have not configured synchronization, you need to copy contacts to your account. To do this, you must perform the same steps as in the case of copying from a SIM-card. We go into the notebook-settings-import / export-select the source, from where you need to copy contacts, choose your account.

To transfer the saved phone numbers to a new Android device, you need to go to your email and click on the Gmail caption, which is located above the list of categories of letters on the left side of the screen. Next in the drop-down list, select the category "Contacts".

A new window will open in which all numbers from the phone book will be displayed. Put a tick to select everything and click on the "More" button, which is located above the list. Next, select "Export" and in the pop-up window, specify the Google CSV. Now the list of contacts is saved on your computer / phone / tablet, depending on where you logged into your account.

Now you need to transfer numbers to new smartphone. If you came from a new phone, then this is not necessary. You can transfer the file with contacts via USB-cable. Everything, now contacts are displayed in a notebook.

Contact transfer via Bluetooth, WhatsApp, Vkontakte

You can transfer contacts using applications. To do this, turn on the Bluetooth on both phones and establish a connection. If necessary, enter a password. If you are going to transfer contacts using applications, then you need a stable connection to the Internet.

After the contacts are transferred, it remains only to save them in the phone’s memory. It is worth noting that if there is a transfer of a large number of numbers, it will be more convenient to transfer using bluetooth. And if several numbers, then you can do with applications. They will be able to help out if one of the phones has a broken or faulty Bluetooth.

You can also send contacts via SMS or MMS, but this is a very costly method, since you will have to pay for messages on the tariff plan, so it’s better to use free methods.

Third Party Programs

You can download to the computer a program that synchronizes it with a smartphone. It may be third-party application  or a specially released phone developer like the HTC PC Suite, which fits all HTC smartphones.

If your new phone is the same brand as the old one, then it makes sense to use the official utility. And if smartphones from different manufacturersuse better third party programthat fits all Android devices.

After the program is downloaded and installed on the computer, you need to connect the old phone to the PC via the USB cable and synchronize them. Next we find the “export contacts” and save them in the format we need.

As you can see, the way to transfer contacts from Android to Android is enough to choose the most optimal one for yourself. The only advice is to back up from time to time using Google or computer programThus, it will be possible to restore contacts, even if you do not have a phone in your hands, for example, in the event of its theft, breakdown or loss. It will not take much time, but in the future it may be very useful to you.

The fact is that on old phones, prior to the existence of this OS, all this had to be done manually, that is, create 200 or more contacts on a new device and enter information into each of them.

But when Android firmly entered our daily lives, everything became much easier. In fact, there is more than one way to import contacts to another device with the same operating system. However, even if different OSes are on smartphones, contacts can still be transferred. Consider some ways to do this.

Using the MOBILedit program

MOBILedit is a very convenient program that allows you to transfer absolutely all data from one phone to another. Actually, the contact list also refers to this data. To use it, you need to download and install it. It is best to do this from the developer’s site (here is the link). When installing, by the way, only two languages are available - English and Czech.

We will work with English. The installation is quite standard - we agree with the license agreement, indicate the folder where the program is located, click “Next” several times and it’s done. At the end, the window shown in Figure 1 appears. There will be a question about whether you need to install a driver package for different devices.

You need to select "No". By the way, this program, which allows you to copy different information from one phone to another, is paid, but there is a trial period (Trial - you can select it when you first start). Then the settings window will appear. Select the item "Android".

Note:  On Android 6.0 and above, the build number is in the Software Information menu. That is, you must first go to the "About the device", and then also in the "Information about the software.

Next on the phone in the settings you need to go to "Developer Settings" (this item will appear after performing the previous step) and enable the item " USB debugging". You need to click on it with the left mouse button and click the Next button.

Now the connected smartphone will appear in the “Connected” list. There you need to click on it with the left mouse button.

A menu will appear in which you need to click on the "Phonebook" button.

In the menu on the right you need to click the "Export" button. In the menu that opens, you must select the .csv file extension, select the location to save it (by clicking on the “Browse” button and selecting desired folder) and click the “Export” button.

Now we have a file with all contacts. Then you need to connect another device in exactly the same way, open the same menu items and select the Import button in the right side. There will be exactly the same window that was when exporting contacts. There you also need to click “Browse” and select the previously created file with contacts. To synchronize them, you must do the following:

  • Go to the settings and go to the "Accounts" (in the old versions of the "Accounts and synchronization" system).

  • There click on your google account. If it is not yet connected, you just need to click on the words “Add account” at the bottom of this window. After that, you will need to follow the instructions of the assistant, enter your Google address, password and confirm the connection.

  • Now it only remains to turn on synchronization - put the switch near the “Contacts” item in the appropriate position, such as shown in Figure No. 11. Below it will be written when the last synchronization was performed. If it was done long ago or was not done at all, you need to turn it on and off, that is, synchronize the contacts forcibly right now. In most cases, when you connect to google account  synchronization with all its services occurs automatically.

Actually, now the same contacts are on two phones and you can safely use them.

With an account in Yandex

Also, a convenient program called Yandex.Moving helps to import and export contacts to different Android devices. You can download it on Google play  or this link.

After starting, you must do the following:

  • Log in, that is, specify your Yandex username and password. AT new version  you need to specify only the login.
  • Click "Next" and wait for the end of loading contacts. There are no additional buttons here, so getting lost in the menu is simply impossible.

Important:  At this stage, you need to remember the PIN code specified by the program. Without it, transfer contacts will not work.

  • Now you just need to take another device and install Yandex.Disk on it, then open the program, click on the button for additional functions (in the form of a triple-point) and select the Settings item. Of course, immediately after launching Yandex.Disk, you will also need to log in.

  • In the settings you need to click on the item "Moving from phone to phone."
