Equipment for digital television is what you can buy in our store. When the third multiplex of digital television is started When adding 3 multiplex channel

Digital TV is a series of technologies that allow the transmission of an encoded video signal over a long distance. It has many advantages over analogue broadcasting:

 • The signal is much more stable than analog.
 • Best picture and sound quality.
 • The ability to broadcast more TV shows.

Against its background, analog television fades into the background and becomes irrelevant. The main disadvantage of "numbers" is the need to purchase special equipment to read the signal. Namely:

 • TV supporting dvb t2 technology.
 • Antenna for receiving a signal.
 • A special set-top box that processes the signal from the antenna and transmits it to the TV.

Of course, you don't have to use all the equipment at once. If your TV supports dvb t2, then it will be enough to buy only an antenna. However, even the minimum required for work is quite expensive.

A multiplex is a set of specific channels transmitted over a single frequency using digital television technologies in the dvb t2 format. There are 2 multiplexes in Russia, and the third multiplex, so far, operates only in Moscow and the region.

First and second multiplexes

The first package operates throughout Russia. These are basic free TV channels for digital users. These include:

 • "The first"
 • "Russia 1"
 • "Match"
 • "NTV"
 • "Fifth"
 • "Russia Culture"
 • "Russia 24"
 • "Carousel"
 • "OTR"
 • "TVC"

Not available throughout the Russian Federation. This includes the following programs:

 • "Ren"
 • "Friday"
 • "Spas"
 • "STS"
 • "TNT"
 • "Home"
 • "TV3"
 • "MUZ"
 • "Star"
 • "World"

Every year, the programs may change depending on the results of the competition held by the authors of the project.

Will there be a third free digital TV multiplex?

Will be. When it is turned on, it will include both information programs and entertainment. The channels will vary in quality. Some are in SD and some are in HD. Each region will have its own programs.

Release date of 3 multiplexes in 2019

It is not known exactly when the third multiplex will be fully launched. Due to the fact that people still use analogue TV, there is not enough room for a new multiplex. Project officials say that the introduction of a new set of digital television is not an easy and long process. Therefore, it is not known exactly when he will appear. There is still no definite date.

New multiplex problems

The launch of the third multiplex is temporarily difficult due to two problems:

 1. Elimination of terrestrial television.
 2. Definition with a list of programs.

Terrestrial broadcasting

Standard analogue broadcasts consume too much air space. There is not enough space for digital.

Many TV channels are switching to digital, but they do not have a single plan. The presence of regional and regional broadcasts greatly slows down the transition process.

List of programs

To be included in the list of programs that will be broadcast by the new multiplex, each TV channel must pass a competition, and also comply with a very strict framework. In addition to this, each region will have its own list of programs, and this further slows down the process.

TV list of the third multiplex

As mentioned earlier, the third dvb t2 digital tv package will be different for each region. However, in Moscow, it already operates at a frequency of 578 MHz. It includes 40 different programs:

 1. "Science 2.0"
 2. "Russian novel"
 3. "Sundress"
 4. "365 days"
 5. "TNT Comedy"
 6. "Lot"
 7. "HD Life"
 8. "STV"
 9. "India"
 10. "Fighter"
 11. "Amusement park"
 12. "Moscow. Confidence"
 13. Euronews
 14. "Sport 1"
 15. "Russia 2"
 16. "Fight club"
 17. "My planet"
 18. "Music"
 19. "Home Cinema"
 20. "Time"
 21. "Russian bestseller"
 22. "Russian detective"
 23. "History"
 24. "Mult"
 25. "Our football"
 26. "Country"
 27. "Comedy"
 28. "La Minor"
 29. "Men's cinema"
 30. "Kitchen"
 31. "Auto Plus"
 32. "Life News"
 33. "Living Planet"
 34. "IQ HD"
 35. "DOC"
 36. "Techno"
 37. "Mum"
 38. "NST"
 39. "Telecafe"
 40. "Beaver"

All channels except the round-the-clock LifeNews and Sport 1 work at a certain time. This is due to the fact that their launch is trial. In Russia, the process of transition from analog to digital is just beginning. Therefore, for now, there is no full-fledged 3rd multiplex.

Channel selection criteria

Not every TV channel can be included in the 3rd package. Only those who pass the following criteria will get on the air:

Work 24/7

A person can turn on the TV at any time in the early morning or late at night. It is beneficial for the authors of the project that the person stays watching one of the programs. Therefore, 24/7 work is one of the main criteria.

Demand.

If a TV channel is not in demand, then people watch it a little. Because the number of seats on the air is limited, such candidates fade into the background. They have almost no chance of making the list.

Having a lot of gears

Monotonous programs quickly bore viewers. This leads to a loss of views, which means money. Because of this, the channel may become unclaimed.

Channel operation on analogue broadcasting

The developers of the 3rd multiplex want to see how the TV channel works. What is his profitability. If everything is in order and it passes according to the other criteria, then there is every chance to pass.

Third multiplex in Crimea

Before Crimea became a part of the Russian Federation, 4 digital TV packages dvb t2 worked in it. The authorities decided to reduce their number to three. Since 2014, three multiplexes have been broadcasting in the Republic of Crimea... The first and the second are Russian general TV channels. The third contains regional broadcasts. Thus, Crimea became the first constituent entity of the Russian Federation in which a third multiplex appeared.

List of channels in Crimea

There are only 7 TV channels broadcasting in the Republic of Crimea, differing in quality:

In SD format:

 • "First Crimean"
 • "World"
 • "Millet"
 • "Moscow"

In HD format:

 • "First Crimean"
 • "Crimea"

List of TV channels in Sevastopol

The Sevastopol "digit" differs from the Crimean one. Here, only one program is broadcast with enhanced image clarity. And unlike Crimea, there are only 8 TV channels here:

In SD format:

 • "First Crimean"
 • "World"
 • "Millet"
 • "Crimea"
 • "First Sevastopol"
 • "Moscow"
 • "Information channel of Sevastopol"

In HD format:

 • "First Crimean"

In the summer of 2019, analogue TV broadcasting ceased to function in the Russian Federation. It was replaced by more modern digital terrestrial television. We will analyze how the technology of encoding and transmitting audio and video works, which allows you to watch several dozen channels even in the most inaccessible corners of the country, consider what DTV frequencies are and how to configure them.

Channel multiplexing

It is customary to call multiplex television and radio channels combined into a single digital block. These TV and radio channels are mixed (multiplexed) and transmitted through a special transport stream. On the receiving device (digital set-top box, digital tuner built into the TV), they are separated (demultiplexed).

In the case of digital multichannel television, transmission is carried out on a single frequency. The package can include channels of different formats and quality (SD, HD, 3D). They are formed by various sources (TV and radio companies, operators, providers, etc.), while broadcasting streams, subtitles, teletext, TV guide, etc.

Frequencies of digital broadcasting in RF

Two multiplexed streams are already operating on the territory of the Russian Federation, the third multiplex is being prepared for launch. Each of the packages is assigned a certain frequency in the decimeter wavelength range. The technology excludes crossing of neighboring waves by different streams to prevent mutual influence.

The quality of DTV broadcasting remains at the highest level, regardless of factors such as:

 • solar Activity;
 • precipitation and other weather conditions;
 • temperature;
 • humidity;
 • time of day and year.

First multiplex (RTRS-1)

Mandatory package with all-Russian, public, free TV and radio resources. The content designed to provide the population with socially significant information was approved by the President of the Russian Federation in the summer of 2009.

According to the technical plan, the first block has the following parameters:

 • transmission is carried out at decimeter waves 470-862 MHz;
 • broadcasting standard - DVB-T2;
 • no encryption;
 • broadcast format - SDTV.

Depending on the location of the region, the first multiplex can be broadcast on one of the above frequencies. For example, in the Moscow region it is 546 MHz.

Channel list of the first digital package:

 • The first;
 • Russia;
 • Match;
 • Culture;
 • Channel 5;
 • Russia 24;
 • Carousel;

Second multiplex (RTRS-2)

A block with all-Russian and public television and radio resources, the distribution of which depends on the operator free of charge. The channels of the second package can also be provided by a paid subscription.

The second digital package has technical characteristics similar to the first multiplex. In the Moscow region, for example, it is broadcast on a wavelength of 498 MHz.

List of channels approved by Roskomnadzor:

 • Ren TV;
 • Spas;
 • Home;
 • TV-3;
 • Friday;
 • Star;
 • Muz TV.

Third multiplex (RTRS-3)

The launch was announced in 2020. In some regions, the list has already been approved, but in general throughout the country with RTRS-3 there are many unclear things, for example, which channels and which companies will be included in it, whether they will all become paid or certain content will be distributed free of charge, allocated frequencies for transmission, etc. P.

Possible channel list:

 • My planet;
 • Mult;
 • Russian bestseller;
 • Country;
 • Sundress;
 • Confidence;
 • Amusement park;
 • The science;
 • Disney;
 • TV kitchen.

Frequencies of digital channels DVB-T2

On the territory of Russia, digital terrestrial television operates on channels 21 - 69, in the operating frequency band from 470 to 862 MHz. The stream width is 8 MHz, and theoretically the latter accommodates 48 channels or a similar number of multiplexes.

Digital TV frequencies may vary depending on the region and the number of towers in a particular area. For example, in the Tula region there are 24 transmitting centers, covering almost 100% of the territory and using different transmission frequencies.

Tuning the TV or to a separate stream is carried out according to the map of the DTV coverage area of your region. This is done by entering the corresponding frequency or channel in manual search mode.

When you go to the site, you will be automatically transferred to your home region. Also, here you can find other relevant information about terrestrial digital television in your area of residence.

Connection and configuration

Connecting and setting up digital television does not require special knowledge and skills. If you use a modern TV, most likely it already has a built-in digital tuner, but if your TV is an older model, you will have to purchase a DVB-T2 set-top box. In addition to any connection option, an antenna operating in the UHF range is required.

Connecting a TV with a built-in tuner

Most of the models of modern TVs are already integrated with a digital DVB-T2 receiver. You can get the exact information about this from the user manual for your TV. Connecting a TV with a built-in tuner consists of the following steps:

Connecting a digital set-top box to a TV without a tuner

Outdated TV receivers do not have an integrated DVB-T2 digital module. For this reason, you will need an external digital set-top box. Among the many brands of this type of equipment, the most popular are:

 • D-Color;
 • Lumax;
 • IconBIT.

The cost of the set-top box varies from 1 to 5 thousand rubles, depending on the presence or absence of additional functions in it. Any DVB-T2 receiver with RCA output ("tulips") is suitable for connecting to an old TV.

Connection instructions:

Equipment setup

Setting up digital television is mainly reduced to searching and editing channels. Both in a set-top box and in a TV with an integrated DVB-T2 module, this is easiest to do in automatic mode. Setting instructions:

Analog terrestrial TV is a thing of the past. On the territory of Russia, two digital multiplexes with 20 television and 3 radio channels, broadcasting at frequencies of 470-820 MHz, have already been activated. They can be received on any TV with a built-in or external DVB-T2 module.

Rising rumors about testing a third multiplex with additional free digital channels are not fading away. The planned transition was supposed to take place already that year, but in reality, only 20 channels are available to viewers. This is not surprising, the first channel package was put into operation almost 10 years ago. The second one was tested for 3 years before it became public.

Now all residents of Moscow can appreciate the 3rd multiplex. However, in fact, it is likely to appear at the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020. Today we will tell you new details, as well as about the list of channels that are going to get into it.

Which channels are most likely to get into the third multiplex

It is too early to talk about this, however, there are rumors about those TV channels that are likely to head the list of the new package. There are about 40 candidates in total at the moment. You can see them on the table above.

You can watch these channels at the designated broadcast time. To search, you need to use channel 34 at 578 MHz.

Do you know that in Rep. Crimea has its own 3 multiplex. It includes several republican channels

When selecting candidates, RTRS and Roskomnadzor take into account the following requirements:

 1. Possibility of round-the-clock broadcasting.
 2. Absence of financial problems for the channel and possible difficulties with provision in the future.
 3. General popularity among the population.
 4. Broadcasts of original content.
 5. Analog broadcasting capabilities.

The introduction of the multiplex is complicated for a number of reasons. Firstly, the demands of the population do not always coincide with the criteria given by Roskomnadzor. In particular, not all desired channels have analogue broadcast capacities. Secondly, due to the size of the country, it is difficult to assess the financial benefits of both parties.

That is why it takes a very long time to select and master a new channel package. We hope that this process will be completed by the end of the year, as the last region will be disconnected from analogue broadcasts by June 3.

The third multiplex of digital television in Russia in the initial version assumed the presence of one HD channel, one regional channel from VGTRK and regional channels belonging to different regions.

The broadcasting of the third multiplex will be carried out by FSUE RTRS in the DVB-T2 standard throughout Russia on the principles approved by the meeting of the Government Commission for the Development of Television and Radio Broadcasting on December 17, 2010.The third multiplex is formed from:

 • of 4 regional standard definition TV channels (SDTV)
 • one federal all-Russian TV channel in high definition format (HDTV).

The channels were to be determined on a competitive basis. Regional broadcasters participating in the competition can attract federal broadcasting organizations that are not part of the network as network partners.

Basic principles when selecting channels for the third multiplex:

 • round-the-clock broadcasting;
 • broadcasting concept;
 • the presence of a larger volume of programs of its own production and / or purchased programs;
 • the degree of interest in the TV channel;
 • financial position of the company;
 • the presence of active broadcasting in the analogue standard;
 • social significance of the channel.

However, now, the concept has changed and the third multiplex of digital television in Russia will include channels that could not enter the first two. So, the following channels can claim to be a part of the third multiplex: Rain, Russia Today, Friday, 2 × 2 and others. The final decision on the third multiplex will be taken by a government commission.

At the SPEKTR-2013 conference, details about the third digital TV multiplex were announced. According to a RTRS representative, the third multiplex will be predominantly federal. The preliminary plan for its composition is 10 channels of standard definition (SD), 7-8 federal, 1-2 regional, and one channel will be transmitted by VGTRK. No high definition (HD) channels are planned in the third digital TV multiplex in Russia.

So far, one channel has been identified, which will enter the third multiplex. It will be a TV channel created by the branches of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise VGTRK for each specific subject of the Russian Federation. The TV channel will be formed under a single brand and comply with the information policy of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. In regions where there are no large branches of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise VGTRK or there is no possibility to form a channel by the forces of VGTRK, local regional TV channels can be involved in broadcasting.

It is not yet clear when the third multiplex will be launched, but according to the announced plan of the Russian government to switch to digital television, its launch should take place before the end of 2015.

At this stage of development of digital terrestrial TV 3 multiplex is already being broadcast in Moscow

It includes the first and second all-Russian channels broadcasting in the HDTV standard, as well as channels: RU TV, CTC love, RBK, Moscow 24, and two local channels.

Digital terrestrial television is the latest technology for encoding and transmitting audio and video signals through digital channels. The signal is transmitted in the DVB-T2 format, which allows you to view a large number of TV channels free of charge even in the most remote settlements of Russia.

Today, residents of Moscow and the region have access to 30 channels, divided into three multiplexes with 10 programs.

Frequencies of channels of digital television DVB-T2

Each of the three multiplexes is tuned to a different frequency. The first multiplex is broadcast at 546 MHz, the second at 498 MHz, and the third at 578 MHz. Therefore, to view all free programs, an all-wave or decimeter antenna operating in the private range of 470-860 MHz is required. In the Moscow region, it may be necessary to install an antenna with an amplifier, the capabilities of which can improve even the weakest signal coming from Ostankino or a repeater tower.

In the case when the antenna is connected to an outdated TV, you will additionally need an external tuner that works in the DVB-T2 format.

To tune the programs of the Moscow grid on the TV, you need to search on 24, 30 and 34 channels, the first, second and third multiplexes, respectively.

List of terrestrial TV channels for 2019

The first group of programs, approved by the decree of the President of Russia, includes channels of federal significance. The second multiplex includes entertainment and information and educational programs. The third multiplex is broadcast in test mode only from the Ostankino tower (coverage radius up to 100 km), and the list of programs available for free viewing may change until they are finally approved.

List of terrestrial analogue channels Moscow and the region

At present, 19 television on-air channels are broadcast from Ostankino in analogue format. In the future, with a full transition to digital broadcasting format, these channels will be disconnected.
