However, the configuration of our 1015PD may not change within very wide ranges - in the middle there may be a stronger processor and more memory.
Before us is perhaps the most advanced netbook based on the Intel Atom platform of the last generation. As a processor, Atom N455 is being tested - the version of the chip has been updated, and a new version is presented. The N450 supports only DDR3 memory instead of DDR2. The increase in speed code will not help at all - the potential of the speedy type of RAM will not be realized on such a large processor. Then, the manufacturers of RAM modules stopped being able to step-by-step fire the release of DDR2 sticks. Optionally, the Eee PC 1015PD can be supplied with the faster N475, which operates at a frequency of 1.83 GHz.

The productivity reduction of netbooks, as a rule, does not give a special effect - most of them are run on the same processor, equipped with the same amount of memory, so the results from model to model often fit into the reduction of the reduction. We matched our ASUS Eee PC 1015PD with MSI U135DX and Toshiba Mini NB305.
All three netbooks are the same in terms of configuration. Toshiba Mini NB305 is equipped with an Atom N450 chip, while the N455 is supported by only one type of memory - DDR2, while others can also use DDR3. What's more important is that the NB305 is equipped with twice as much RAM, although it didn't experience a significant influx in our tests.
There is nothing special about the office extras or the rendering task - the speed of all three netbooks is, however, low, and none is particularly superior. At least the ASUS Eee PC 1015PD hard drive turned out to be much more efficient.
The graphics subsystem of netbooks is traditionally weak. They are trying to show the most “very pleasant” result in the old 3DMark 2001 test, not even though they came out later. And again, all aspects fit into the suppression of extinction.
The same is fussing and burning. Our test games are by no means new, but all three mobile computers in them show a far from comfortable level of FPS.
The power supply unit of the Eee PC 1015PD has a very low power - 40 W (19 V, 2.1 A). However, a netbook doesn’t need anything more.

Also with the 1015 model, ASUS launched a new Flare series, which has made a few design changes. The body of the netbook has become more flat (although the previous side, which contains the removed battery, is wider), the sides are NOT rounded, but rather cut. The stylish style is businesslike and laconic, which, looking at the purpose of the netbook, is a plus: it’s not for going to the club, but for doing business.
However, there are options for color solutions. While the model with the letter C is produced in soothing colors (black, white, grey, red, brown and blue), the RIE has more “playful” shades (russet, buxom and sea pine). The dimensions of ASUS 1015 are modest. To be clear, we took a photo of the netbook with the original book. The wines are larger and thinner (especially in their widest part), but still cannot fit into a woman’s bag, let alone the same bags. Since the design of the ASUS 1015 has changed a little along the front, the axis of the keyboard is no longer exactly the same as we used, let’s say. The ASUS keyboard is very specific. The touchpad is still in the traditional style for the company - the material does not fade from the panel. Between the touchpad there are only two sides, but there are no problems. Like all its main competitors, ASUS 1015 runs on the Intel Atom platform, codenamed Cedar Trail. Intel releases two third-generation Atom processors, N2600 and N2800, and unfortunately they can be installed in the ASUS 1015. The difference between them is like between two engines of a car of the same model: N2800 may be slightly less, a little bit more insatiable and a little bit more expensive. Just a few “little bits” will remain and you will get more value from the N2600. The model we tested was N2800, and we didn’t want to replace it with our younger brother, even if it could potentially be used with a battery a little longer.
The amount of RAM on board may vary. The option is 1 GB, and the option is 2 GB. First, we note: one gigabyte of RAM for a daily computer is not enough for normal work on the Internet and office applications. 2 GB is enough. On the other hand, in this case there is a huge imbalance in resources. The author of this material published it on a netbook equipped with an N2800 processor and 2 GB of RAM and a host of resources. In most cases, the processor's workload "ended up" earlier, and the RAM was completely occupied. This is confirmed by the Windows Productivity Index. The processor is not the most important thing (after graphics), but RAM is the leader. But this is unlikely to be a serious minus. “RAM” is the one on the right, so it’s better if it’s too much, not enough.
In general, the productivity of this version that we tested is poor: the system can only cope with everything basic operations Such as viewing web pages, videos and office work, and allowing, for example, editing images in Photoshop.
The author’s subjective views on the material agreed with the assessment of Windows: the video card here is the weakest. It is integrated - Intel GMA HD 3600. The functionality of both modifications of the netbook is limited in the audio aspect: they require another speaker, although all competitors have two “speakers”. On the loudness, the sound is not indicated, and the axis on the loudness is not: the ASUS 1015 has one speaker, but only a voice one.
As a special feature of the netbook, there is significantly minimal noise. The company's engineers managed to find a compromise between the temperature and density of the coolers. They are less noticeable in the complete silence.
