When searching via Bluetooth, the gamepad is recognized as "GamePlayer". After connecting to a tablet or smartphone, the blue LED stops blinking. By the way, while the device is being charged, the blue color changes to red. The manufacturer claims the operating time of the device from one charge to 20 hours. In fact, during the period of writing the review and studying the capabilities of the gadget during an hour of active use, the gadget performed the functions assigned to it without any problems. Shutdown occurs when "START" is pressed for more than 5 seconds.
Gamepad functions. Let's go over the features that seemed most useful:
1. When photographing with a smartphone or tablet, pressing the "X" (KEY mode) button takes a photograph.
2. When playing music and video in media players, the "X" and "A" keys are respectively responsible for increasing or decreasing the volume. By moving the stick "RIGHT" or "LEFT" you can skip tracks, "START" works as "START / PAUSE".
3. The device has an interesting feature - Wireless Mouse. In the “KEY” mode, press and do not release the “SELECT” button until the mouse cursor appears on the screen. The SELECT button now acts as the left mouse button. Long pressing it on the active link corresponds to the right mouse button (for example, in the browser you will have a menu for selecting actions (open the site page in a new window, etc.). Finally, if you hold down the notorious SELECT key (without releasing the button) - mouse mode will turn off after a couple of seconds One way or another, the Wireless Mouse gamepad option will be very useful for Android TV box users.
4. Let's move on to the most important thing - games.
It should be noted that everything is not as simple as we would like. Let's first look at the functionality in the Android system. Unfortunately, not all games in the playmarket can work with the gadget. Therefore, it is recommended to install a special Chinese market for the game, in which the adaptation has already been made.

Unfortunately, this option caused a problem. Either the problem is in the Bluetooth whistle, or its own error in the actions when connecting. If you have any ideas, it would be very nice to hear some advice. When adding a new device, the gamepad did not want to connect to the computer.

However, it turned out that its capabilities are far from limited to working with VR applications and it is very cool compatible with as many as three operating systems. Namely: with iOS, Android and Windows (and I'm pretty sure it will work on OS X too). The packaging of the joystick is made of white plastic and looks very good. The iOS, Android and PC inscriptions in the most conspicuous place immediately set up a positive mood and give hope that at least somewhere this joystick will work adequately.

Interestingly, the USB - microUSB cable for charging the joystick is placed separately from the package. There are suspicions that it does not belong to the kit at all and they put it to me "so that it was." Since the cable is completely standard, I did not even unpack it, but used one of my own.

What can be said about him right away. All control elements are reasonably conveniently located and, despite their small size (and the joystick is slightly larger than a lighter), the joystick is pleasantly in the hand. The only thing I didn't like was the rotating bonnet on the stick. Although this is not the first time I have met such an outrage. For example, a similar problem exists and. Why the Chinese are doing this - I don't know.
On the left side of the joystick there is a switch that changes the functionality of the buttons and stick. In the "Game" position, the joystick performs its direct functions - it "helps" you to enjoy games with its support. But in the "Key" position, it works more like a remote control. Moreover, in different operating systems, the functionality may be different, which I will talk about a little later.

On the bottom of the joystick there is a socket for charging it using the same USB - microUSB cable. The 180mAh battery provides up to 40 hours of continuous operation.

I would especially like to draw your attention to the instructions for this joystick, which is also included in the kit. I have long been accustomed to the fact that the manual for Chinese devices is usually a thin brochure, the sense of which is a little more than nothing. Here we see a full-fledged manual in two languages \u200b\u200b- Chinese and English. Everything is described: from the characteristics of the joystick to the use of buttons on it in different operating systems. Even some non-obvious options are described, which I myself would hardly have thought of.

Now let's move on to how all this splendor works. The joystick is turned on by pressing the “Start” button for two seconds. It turns off by pressing it for five seconds. After turning on the joystick, you must connect it to your tablet, smartphone, computer (underline what you need) via Bluetooth. And then the fun begins.
Joystick and iOS
If you believe the instructions, then in the "Game" position this joystick will work in all games with iCade support. You can find a list of such games by googling a little or (even easier) by typing the word icade in an iTunes search.

The list is highlighted quite impressive. I rocked a few toys for testing: Namco Arcade, Alien Breed, Metal Slug X, R-Type II, and Samurai Shodown II. And in them the joystick really worked without problems.

In the “Key” position, the joystick in iOS also works and allows you to change the sound volume, switch tracks in the music player, and even remotely press the shutter button in the standard Camera application.
Joystick and Android
The situation is even better with Android than with iOS. In the "Game" position, the joystick worked even in games, in the analogs of which for iOS it was not detected at all. For example, in the game Beach Buggy Racing. But I was especially pleased with the joystick support in the emulators of game consoles in the games for which I play constantly. And it doesn't matter that some of these games require six or more buttons. After all, the joystick supports combinations when, for example, pressing "Start" + "X" corresponds to the upper left shift.

But that's not all. Outside of games, the joystick is used to navigate the menus (in fact, it works similarly to the arrows on the keyboard), which I demonstrate in the video at the end of this review, mistakenly confusing this option with the mouse mode.
In the "Key" position, the joystick does some miracles. There are as many as two modes, which are switched again using combinations of buttons. The first is the mouse mode, which is activated by simultaneously pressing the "Start" and "X" buttons. An arrow (!) Appears on the smartphone screen and you move it (!!) with the joystick (!!!). Joystick and PC (Windows)
The essence of working in Windows is similar to Android. In the "Game" position, the device is defined as a regular joystick and works like a regular joystick. Hacked him in Street Fighter IV - well, just a complete delight.
In the “Key” position, the joystick also has two modes - mouse mode and player mode. So, if you don't have a mouse, and you don't like to use the trackpad, then hold the joystick in hand and go :).
Joystick and virtual reality helmet
In principle, everything related to the joystick operation on Android (or iOS) devices will be true here as well. But here the already mentioned possibilities of using the joystick to move around the desktops of a smartphone or tablet and navigate within applications come into play. This is exactly what all owners of virtual reality headsets have longed for. It is not for nothing that this joystick is offered in a complete set with such a helmet.
Now for VR applications. The seller threw me a link to some Chinese site where you can pump up various demos and even games with the support of this joystick for free. Most, of course, is still junk. But there are also quite interesting things.
