In general, the very idea of \u200b\u200bsuch glasses is interesting - to use a smartphone with sensors for virtual reality. To do this, in fact, you only need a smartphone with a good screen resolution (preferably 1080p or higher) and any VR application that is installed on it.

The glasses are delivered in a cardboard box, inside there was a simple instruction, a napkin and a cloth for cleaning the lenses, as well as a soft lining, as far as I understand, under the smartphone buttons.

In addition, the kit also included a remote control with a joystick and buttons, which can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth and used in VR games. The remote control has a built-in battery and is charged from a USB cable.

Everything would be fine, but only the applications that are offered to be downloaded by the QR code for its operation are all entirely in Chinese.

Everything is simple in the design of glasses - in fact, it is just a plastic case with built-in lenses and a cassette cover into which your smartphone is inserted.

Smartphones with screen sizes from 3.5 to 6.0 inches are suitable.

There are two adjusters on the body, one for each lens, with which you can adjust their position relative to your eyes (left / right) and image sharpness (forward / backward).

Along the perimeter of the glasses, in the place where it fits to the face, there is a soft fabric pad, which is pleasantly and of high quality (ordinary foam rubber is placed here in cheap analogs).

The glasses are mounted on three straps that can be adjusted in length (they are with Velcro), three straps converge at the back of the head into a flat plate of soft white silicone rubber.

The cassette where the smartphone is inserted is taken from the side. The smartphone is inserted inside and fixed with a spring-loaded plastic stop. Then, on the smartphone, we launch the application and push the cassette inside the glasses case.

The weight of the glasses is 320 g + the weight of the smartphone.

On the sides, the VR-box 2.0 has holes for connecting headphones, a charging cable and other additional devices.

Many applications have already been written for such glasses. After downloading any of the VR applications, you can ride the Super 8 or walk through an abandoned cave, or dive to the bottom of the ocean.

I should note that some programs do not fit glasses (either the image is blurry and the sharpness is not adjusted and the eyes get tired, or the 3D effect is not always obtained. In some applications, the picture quality is pixelated (rather, this is due to the fact that my Doogee Y100 has a 720p screen resolution) In a word, you need to sort and download different videos.

I liked the VR Cinema application, which processes any movie into glasses. Basically it splits the screen in two and starts the movie. 3D effect is present. But firstly, the image will be cropped at the edges, and secondly, the movie must be in 1080p quality so that the pixels are not visible.

I liked the effect of the glasses - you can rotate your head and, accordingly, look around in a virtual environment. And if you choose a good app, the glasses are impressive and addictive.

Also note that for full-fledged work in virtual applications, your smartphone must have a gyroscope (mine does not have one), and therefore, my possibilities in virtual programs were limited by turning my head left and right.

I also draw your attention to the fact that even in normal applications with good sharpening, after 10-15 minutes, eyes begin to get tired. By the way, it is recommended to take breaks to avoid a spasm of the optic nerve, which can lead to myopia.

Of course, all these devices are still imperfect and this is only the beginning of the development of virtual reality. The complete wow-effect of immersion is hampered by the fact that you look at the virtual environment as if through a square window.

By and large, it is rather a curious toy, but it is sometimes interesting to stick into it, fortunately, it is not expensive, and everyone can afford to look into the 3D world.

I think that sometimes you can “indulge” and play them. Interestingly, this VR-box 2.0 is sold at local auctions with a Bluetooth controller for $ 30-40, which is naturally expensive. Thanks to the Chinese for the price of $ 6.80 - you can buy it for that price.
