Rs partition recovery description. Review of Hetman Partition Recovery. Trying the program and its functionality

Nowadays, there are many modern devices that contain large amounts of various information in a very compact size. However, despite the reliability and perfection of modern technology, no one is safe from accidental deletion of important files from a flash drive, memorable photos from a smartphone memory card, camera, as well as large amounts of information from a computer hard drive. This is especially true of those cases when a USB flash drive infected with a virus has to be formatted.

I also had to face the problem of lost files when an acquaintance (not very computer savvy) formatted my USB flash drive, which contained a lot of important documents, program installation files, as well as photos, videos, and music that I had not copied to my computer. At first I thought that maybe she had hidden the files by mistake, or a virus had got on the flash drive, but during the analysis of the removable disk it turned out that it does not contain any viruses, and the free memory "said" that the flash drive is absolutely empty.

After analyzing the current situation and a short search, I compared the programs for recovering lost data existing on the Internet and decided to choose one of the licensed utilities, since I know that free programs are often ineffective. From a fairly large list of existing programs, I chose a utility such as Hetman Partition Recovery, the cost of which was acceptable for me, and the reviews were very good.

This utility is compatible with any modern Windows, works with FAT and NTFS file systems and has minimum system requirements, which make it possible to install Hetman Partition Recovery on a computer with any, even very "weak" characteristics. At the same time, through the program, you can easily figure out how to restore a hard drive.

After installing the program, it turned out that it has a simple interface that does not require global computer skills, that is, an advanced user, an average user, and even a person with a minimum level of computer skills can use it. In addition, to work with this utility, it is enough to follow the tips of the data recovery wizard, which shows the step-by-step steps that should be followed to recover lost data.

Having installed the program, which by the way is small in size, with an accessible and easy installer, I began to figure out how to use it. In fact, everything turned out to be very simple. By the way, there is also one nuance here: if you need to recover data from a hard disk, then you need to install the software on any other disk on your computer.

To start the process and recover data, for example, from a formatted external or internal storage device, you need to launch the program from the desktop or from the Start menu.

Complete analysis of a removable disk.

After starting the utility, I saw a pop-up window of the recovery wizard dialogues, which, by the way, can be disabled by unchecking the corresponding checkbox. But since I am introducing you to this product, I will leave the wizard's advice.

After some deliberation (for reliability), I prefer a full analysis, because I need to recover all the information.

The complete analysis takes some time, so you will need to wait a bit for its completion.

Everything took about three minutes, and after finishing I saw the following:

I press the "Finish" button and a working field opens, consisting of three sections: in the central one, the found files and the folder "$ Deep Analysis" are shown, the left one indicates the valid storage media, and the right one displays the progress of document recovery.

After clicking on "$ Deep analysis", a window appeared, displaying all the files from which you can select the ones needed for searching during deep analysis.

Files for recovery, you need to "drag" to the right field. Drag and click "Restore".

After that, the wizard asks you to specify a location to save the recovered files.

I choose the option offered by the "Restore to Hard Drive" system. I press "Next" and choose a folder to save.

In this case, I save the files to disk D. I press "Restore". The files are being saved to the hard drive, which will also take some time.

The process has ended and you can check if all of the previously selected files are in the folder. I press "Finish" and "go" to the folder specified for saving the files.

The program found 11 types of files, which are arranged in folders according to the format.

If you select and open any, you can observe the recovered files, the names of which are of course different from the original ones, but it will not be difficult to change them.

Fast disk scan.

So, this software found and successfully restored all my lost files and you can complete the work on this. However, it became interesting to me to check how the "Quick Scan" works, and therefore, having previously copied all the files to the hard drive, I decided to try again.

At first, the principle of operation does not differ from the "deep scan", since the recovery wizard offers to perform identical actions, however, after selecting the "Quick scan" item, I saw a similar window with the files found, the search for which took a little less time than with the previous scan method ...

I press "Finish" and the following window opens.

However, unlike the previous scan method, when you click on the "$ Deep Analysis" folder, a slightly different window appears.

Here you can specify all files to be restored, or only some of their types.

I have selected some types of files to recover. I click on the "OK" button.

As you can see at the bottom right, the utility “searches” for data to recover. This took approximately 2-3 minutes. After finishing the search, I saw 7 files (not counting the archives) that the program found. They are located in folders in accordance with the formats, and if you go to the selected one, you can see audio, video or text files, the names of which are assigned by the program.

I select everything and "drag" it to the right side of the working field. I press "Restore" and see a window similar to the deep check method, where you need to specify the way to save the files. I decided to save everything to the hard drive.

I click the "Next" button and select the path to save, then in the next dialog box, click on "Restore". I see a similar window as in the case of the previous check, that is, the program saves the selected files. I press "Finish" and "go" to the hard drive to check if all of the declared files are available.

All the files that I selected for recovery have been restored, which means that you can complete the work with the utility. The only inconvenience when working with this program is the inconsistency of the file names, but it is not difficult to fix and rename them. In conclusion, I suggest watching the official video about the main features of the program.

In general, I liked working with this utility. Convenient and easy interface made it possible to quickly recover all the necessary information. In addition, the program quickly "finds" all the necessary files, which allows you not to waste a lot of time, but to quickly restore everything.

Protected drives will most likely have to be restored at a specialized service center. Most likely, such a service will cost a lot of money. It all depends on the specific case, the type of drive and the tasks set.

People who are worried about their confidential data or hide important information from unauthorized persons use various specialized programs for this. They work on different principles and can be hardware or software. For example, you can use USB Safeguard or TrueCrypt for this. In the same article, the emphasis is on those cases when people accidentally or intentionally deleted some documents, photos or other files that were stored on an unprotected hard disk, SD card, USB flash drive. P.S. There are different occasions in life ...

It turns out that anyone else who finds an empty flash drive can recover the data. It turns out that we are not protected? Even when we erase them? Clarify please.

Screenshots for RS Partition Recovery will help you appreciate the simplicity and convenience of working with this software. So, download and install RS Partition Recovery to get started recovering your lost data. Please note that the software cannot be installed on a disk or in a partition that contained the recoverable information.

Download Registration

After installing the software, in the main program window, select the disk from which you want to recover files. If the program needs to scan large amounts of information, this may take some time.

In the window that appears, select the required type of analysis. In most cases, a quick scan will be enough - the bulk of the lost information will be restored almost instantly. In the event of extensive damage to the file system, it is advisable to perform a complete system analysis.

When the scanning of the specified disks is completed, all the files found in them will be displayed in a window with the standard Explorer interface. By selecting the required folder, you can view its contents. Deleted files and folders will be marked with a special red cross.

To set specific search parameters for deleted files or find and restore only some of the lost documents, you can use the search form via the Edit-Search menu.

If you have deleted any data from the disk but are unable to recover it immediately, you can create and save a virtual image of the current disk.

This will allow you to work with the section, which contained important information, as usual, without fears that information from it cannot be recovered due to newly saved files in the section. Use the "Recover Disk" function and in the window that opens, specify the parameters for creating a disk image. Later, using the "Add Disk" button, you can open the saved disk image and, having added it to the general list, work with it as with an existing one.

To save the necessary data, use the “Restore” button (or the corresponding menu item). In the "Save Files" wizard window, select one of the methods for saving recovered files. It is better if the data is saved on a different disk from which the recovery is taking place.

At first glance, it seems to an inexperienced user that the data recovery process takes a long time due to its complexity and laboriousness. It's actually not that complicated. With Hetman Partition Recovery, you will learn that by following simple steps, you can easily save and restore all the information you need.

Stage 1. "Specify the required recovery disk"

Select the drive on which the data was lost. If your data has been deleted from a logical partition that was originally deleted, recreated or simply formatted, then you should go to the "Search for partitions".

Create a virtual image.

If you initially create a virtual copy of your disk, and then continue to recover your data from it, then you can definitely avoid accidentally overwriting deleted files. And this will give you the guarantee of the possibility of data recovery to your disk.

Ability to recover deleted partitions

With Hetman Partition Recovery, you can easily find deleted disks and then continue recovering your data from them. This action will save you a considerable amount of time.

In order to use the search for deleted partitions, you need to select the appropriate device in the folder tree. Then, go to the menu "File" - "Find drives", after which you need to specify the type of file system of your partition. In addition, you need to specify the approximate location on the device. At this stage, it is advisable to analyze your entire disk completely. Otherwise, Hetman Partition Recovery will start in the quick search mode (default mode).

After completing the disk analysis process, you are given the opportunity to run a full analysis of the device, after which you can find more partitions. If the latter are found, they will automatically be added to the directory tree.

The ability to create an image

Go to the menu "File" - "Create virtual disk". With this command you can create a virtual copy of the data. If necessary, it is possible to create an image of the entire media, as well as compress the occupied disk space. Next, you should click on the "Save" button, after specifying the file name of the created image.

Further use of the image

After creating your image, you must select in the menu "Tools" - "Mount disk", and then specify the path to the image. Hetman Partition Recovery will automatically include your previously saved disk into the folder tree, after which you can use it for further work with it. The created virtual disk will not go anywhere: it will be available for recovery on other computers.

Stage 2. "Indicate the required method for recovery"

Hetman Partition Recovery offers two ways to recover deleted information.

Quick Scan Method

If your data was deleted by the "Shift" + "Delete" key combination, or you accidentally emptied the "Recycle Bin", then the "Quick Scan" will immediately find the deleted files. If your data was deleted in another way, then you need to use the "Full Scan", which can take a considerable amount of time.

Full analysis method

This recovery method uses all the features of Hetman Partition Recovery. You will be able to recover your data regardless of how it was deleted. With the help of "Full Analysis" you will be sure that your files will be found, because the program uses all search algorithms in its arsenal.

Stage number 3. "The recovery process"

After going through the previous stages, Hetman Partition Recovery will start searching for deleted information. The recovery time will be calculated. After the end of the process, the program will offer to press the "Finish" button.

Data recovery process

Hetman Partition Recovery will show you the files it finds in the original folder tree. Deleted files are marked with a red cross.

For your convenience, according to the method of sorting the recovered data, the program provides many modes for displaying them. Namely:

  • large icons;
  • regular icons;
  • thumbnails of pages;
  • list;
  • tile;
  • table.

Sections "Deleted and Found" and "Deep Analysis"

If during the recovery process files were found whose location could not be determined, then they are automatically placed in the "Deleted and found" section.

The "Deep analysis" section contains recovered files, the signatures of which, namely, the beginning of the file and its end, were found by complex analysis.

Preview capability

By displaying the contents of the recovered files, which will be displayed in the same place (folder) from where they were deleted, you can select only the data you need.

Viewing recovered data and saving it

Hetman Partition Recovery provides the ability to view the found files of various formats. The program supports over two hundred types - from simple images to executable files. To fully restore the files you need, you need to go through the program registration process.

After registration, you can save the data you need by first selecting it and then going to the "File" - "Restore" menu. If you need to select files from different directories, then you should transfer them to the "Recovery Basket" using the mouse. And then, by clicking on the "Restore" button, you can restore data from the basket itself.

Stage number 4. "Saving the recovered information"

After the end of the recovery process, you will be presented with a choice of different ways to save your data. You can either just leave them on disk or burn them to CD / DVD media. In addition, the ability to create an ISO - image or upload information to an FTP server is provided. We will talk more about these methods later.

Saving to disk

Besides, Hetman Partition Recovery also provides the ability to save ADS and replace lost characters from the file name.

Burn to CD / DVD media

When using this method, Hetman Partition Recovery offers to select the following parameters: disk label, file system, write speed. After that, you must click on the "Next" button. The program also supports the option of multisession disc burning, as well as the ability to save data in the original folders before deletion. In the latter situation, you need to select the "Restore folder structure" option, without completing which all your data will simply be saved in one directory.

Creating an ISO image

When choosing this method, you must specify the full name of the image file, as well as the file system of the disk and its label. If you want to keep the original folder structure, then you need to select the appropriate options. After completing the necessary steps, you just need to click on the "Create" button to complete the process.

Upload to FTP server

In order to upload your information to an FTP server, you need to specify the following:

  • fTP server address;
  • fTP server port;
  • username;
  • password;
  • remote directory.

You can upload files using two modes:

  • passive mode;
  • mode of operation through a proxy server.

To complete this stage and the whole process, you must also click on the "Create" button.

Check out the video on how to recover your hard drive with Hetman Partition Recovery.

The step-by-step wizard hides from the user all the complexity and laboriousness of working with hard drive data recovery software ... By following the simple instructions of the wizard, you can easily find, restore and save all the necessary information. To start download and install the program.

Step 1: Select a drive for data recovery

Specify the logical drive from which the files were deleted. If the files were lost after formatting, deleting or re-creating logical partitions, then you need to select a physical storage medium or use the function "Search for sections"... The list of physical devices is located below the list of logical partitions.

Virtual image

By creating a virtual copy of the disk and continuing to recover data from it, you are guaranteed to protect yourself from accidental overwriting of deleted files and will be able to restore data to the same disk.

Create an image

To create a virtual copy of data, point to the required disk with the mouse and select in the main menu of the program "Service""Save Disk"... You can create an image of the entire storage medium or specify the starting sector and disk size. The program allows you to compress the contents of the disk to save space. Specify the full name of the image file and click the button "Save".

Using the image

Select from the main menu "Service""Mount disk" and provide the full path to the image file. The utility will automatically add the previously saved disk to the folder tree. You can select it to analyze and search for deleted files. You can use the virtual disk to recover data on another computer or laptop.

Recovering deleted partitions

The utility allows you to find deleted logical drives and continue searching and recovering deleted files from them. This approach significantly saves time spent on analyzing the storage medium.

To search for partitions, select a device in the folder tree and select in the main menu "File"Find Discs... Specify the file system type of the desired partition, as well as its approximate location on the device. It is recommended to analyze the disk completely and look for all possible file systems. By default, the program launches a quick search for sections.

After analyzing the disk, you can run a full analysis of the device to find more partitions. All found partitions are added to the directory tree and become available for further scanning.

Step 2: Choose a disk recovery method

Select an algorithm for recovering deleted data. The program has developed two fundamentally different types of analysis, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Let's take a closer look at them.

Fast scan

"Quick Scan" allows you to analyze your hard drive in seconds. This method allows you to quickly find files deleted using the keyboard shortcut "Shift" + "Delete" or as a result of cleaning "Baskets" Windows. In all other cases, it is recommended to use "Complete analysis"... A complete analysis of a hard disk takes a long time (depending on the size of the disk).

Complete analysis

"Complete analysis" employs all the capabilities of the program and allows you to recover information, regardless of the way it was deleted. This method allows you to recover data from damaged disks, files lost after formatting, deleting, re-creating logical disks or for any other reason. The full analysis uses all possible algorithms for finding lost files.

Step 3: Wait for the recovery process to complete

The program will start searching for deleted files. During the analysis, the utility will calculate the time until the end of the operation, and also indicate the number of disks, files and folders found. Wait for the end of the analysis and press the button "Done".

Analysis process

The program will display all files and folders found on the disk. The files will appear in the same folders they were in before they were deleted, just like in Windows Explorer. All deleted objects will be marked with a red cross.

The utility supports various file display modes: page thumbnails, large and regular icons, list, table and tile. You can sort the recovered files by name, size, file type, as well as by creation or editing date.

After analysis, you can start searching for files by name, size, date of creation or modification of files.

"$ Removed and Found" and "$ Deep Analysis"

In chapter "$ Removed and Found" there are those files and folders, the location of which could not be determined. Be sure to check this section if you cannot find the files where they were originally located.

The program searches for deleted files not only from file tables, but also by their contents. By comprehensively analyzing the contents of the disk, the utility finds signatures that indicate the beginning and end of a file (for example, a file with the PSD extension must start with a combination of bytes "8B PS"). The files found in this way are located in the folder "$ Deep Analysis".

Preview

Files found for recovery are displayed in the program - just like in regular Windows "Explorer" - in the same folder from which they were deleted. By displaying the contents of the files, the utility allows you to select and save only the necessary data.

View file contents

The program allows you to view the content of over 200 different file formats (for example: digital images, compressed archives, text documents, executable files, spreadsheets, many video and audio file formats). The files displayed in the preview are guaranteed to be restored after registering the program.

Selecting files to save

To save files deleted from one folder, you need to go to it using the directory tree, then select the necessary files in the list and select in the main menu "File""Reestablish"... To select files from different directories, drag and drop them into "Recovery basket"located in the lower right corner of the program. To save from "Baskets" press the button "Reestablish"located there.

Step 4: Save the data recovered from the hard drive

You can choose any convenient method to save the recovered files. The program allows you to save files to a folder on a disk, burn them to CD, DVD media, create an ISO image, or upload files to a remote FTP server.

To save files to disk, specify the directory for saving files. If you want to revert only deleted files or preserve the directory tree structure of the disk, select the appropriate check boxes.

The program allows you to save ADS (Alternate Data Streams) and replace lost characters from the file name (deleting files, the FAT file system driver erases the first letter of the file name, but most of the name may be lost).

Burning CD or DVD

When burning files to CD or DVD, the program allows you to select the disc label, writing speed and file system. Select the drive to be used for recording, specify the required parameters (you can use the default parameters) and click "Further".

The utility supports multi-session disc burning and allows you to save files in the same folders from which they were deleted (if you do not specify the option "Restore folder structure", all files will be saved in one directory).

Creating an ISO image with files

The program allows you to create a virtual image with data. To write files, you must specify the full name of the image file, disk label, and disk file system. To preserve the folder structure and replace unknown characters in the names of recovered files, you must specify the appropriate options.

"Create" to complete the process.

Uploading files to an FTP server

The program allows you to save recovered files to a remote server using FTP protocol. You can keep the original directory tree structure. To save files, specify the address and port of the FTP server, as well as the username, password, and remote directory. The utility supports passive file uploading mode, as well as work through a proxy server. You can remember the password so as not to enter it again (the password is stored in clear text in the settings file).

The program allows you to view the files and folders selected for saving again. At this stage, the option to change file names is available. Click on "Create" to complete the process.
