Modern society is called a consumer society. Now a huge variety of various products has increased more than ever. Among such a large number and different manufacturers   it is easy for consumers to get lost and very difficult to do right choice   and get exactly what you need. In order to distinguish truly high-quality products from the general mass, a conformity mark was invented and developed special character, which is applied to the product or its packaging and tells the consumer that this product complies with state or international standards.

How does a manufacturer get a mark of conformity?

The quality mark can be obtained by the manufacturer both on a voluntary basis and without fail. The quality certification of goods is carried out by special certification commissions, which carry out an examination and confirm that the product or product complies with all the regulations necessary for this group of products. During the examination, many factors are taken into account - from the technology to the ingredients that make up the product. Signs of compliance with standards can be state, international, national, or even specially designed for a specific group of goods and products. The presence of a quality mark significantly enhances the trust of customers, and, ultimately, is beneficial for all manufacturers. Therefore, most companies and organizations carry out their goods, even if it is not necessary.

Story

In the XIX century in Russia, merchants sought to deliver goods to the imperial court, as it was very profitable. In order to achieve this high honor, their goods had to be of the highest quality, and then they put on it special sign - Supplier of His Imperial Majesty's Court. On products it was allowed to put the state emblem, confirming compliance with the high requirements of the Emperor himself. Later in the USSR, a quality mark appeared - a pentagonal star, resembling a human figure. This sign of the certificate and conformity officially appeared in 1967, it guaranteed a product that was canceled or issued by the State Certification Commission for a period of up to three years. The presence of a cherished star allowed the manufacturer to make a 10% surcharge in the price, and all enterprises sought to get it. In the last years of the USSR, this led to the fact that goods bearing signs of conformity and quality were no longer as high-quality as in previous years.

PCT

After the collapse of the USSR, the former mark of quality ceased to be relevant, and new national marks of conformity replaced it. State production standards are strictly regulated and verified by relevant authorities and enterprises. The PCT (Rostest) conformity mark is placed only on those products and products that have received permission from the Federal Agency for Metrology and the Ministry of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation, or authorized bodies. The registration of issued marks is carried out by the State Standard of the Russian Federation, which is confirmed by a special license. If such a sign is placed on the product, it must be indicated under the alphanumeric code of the authority that issued the certificate. Such an image may be used in advertising, on letterheads, on photos of goods, etc. The PCT mark guarantees the consumer high quality of the purchased products, which meets all state regulations and regulatory requirements adopted in the Russian Federation.

Russian brand

Since 1999, national competitions have been held in Russia. This sign is assigned to different groups of goods that occupy prizes in the competitive selection. The sign of the certificate of conformity looks like a pentagonal emblem, in the center of which the image is located. The Russian brand has three degrees - for the highest quality service, advanced production technology and the highest quality product. This sign is assigned by a non-profit organization and has a public status. For manufacturers who import foreign-made goods to the Russian market for five years and more, there is a special nomination - a supplier of products to the Russian market.

International quality marks

Almost all developed countries have their own quality marks, which are received by the manufacturer, if they comply with all national standards and requirements in the manufacture of their products or products. Different countries have different rules, for example, there are product ingredients or drugs that are prohibited in some countries, but can be applied in other states. In this case, the goods can only have a national mark of the certificate of conformity, if it meets the requirements of an international level, then the manufacturer can obtain permission to use international or transnational signs.

European quality marks

One of the most recognizable and widespread signs of CE is Conformite Europeenne, European Compliance. It is important to bear in mind that the labeling of products with these letters indicates not so much that the product is of high quality, but about its safety. Such a symbol means that the product meets the standards of production adopted in the countries of the European Union. The same applies to all products manufactured not in European countries, but entering the European market. For products that belong to the group of electronic and technical equipment, the presence of the ENEC sign - European Norms Electrical Certification.

ISO certification is placed on products, packaging or directly on the product itself.

Ecological signs

Recently, most people care about the environment, and often the choice of a certain product or product by the consumer depends on the presence of certain signs that indicate the environmental friendliness of the product. The most recognizable of such signs is a dot, it can be depicted in green or even black and white. This image indicates that the packaging can be recycled. Arrows located in a triangle also mean environmentally friendly packaging - recycling for future use. A man with a basket means the request of the manufacturer to throw the packaging in the trash, and not under his feet. This sign is applied to those types of goods that are supposed to be used outside the home - various candy wrappers, wrappers, etc. In the CIS countries, this sign is often used incorrectly by manufacturers - it can be found on the packaging of laundry detergent or toothpaste. Placing a symbol on these products simply does not make sense.

There is a certain group denoting their use. For example, latin letter   U in a circle around the world is used to designate a vegan sign with chamomile, made in green color, is used to apply to products that are intended only for vegetarian cuisine, and shows that the product does not contain any vegetable ingredients. Schematically drawn rabbit with the inscription Not tested on animals says that when developing technology, experiments with animals were not conducted. Such marks, which carry important information, help the consumer to make a choice in favor of a particular product or product.

A manufacturer that has permission to use quality marks has a great competitive advantage. The mark of conformity is a guarantee that, in making a purchase, the consumer will not stumble on low-grade products, that the goods being purchased will not harm health or the environment.

Informed consumers often buy only products with special conformity marks. They trust such products and are looking for all that they are going to buy, the cherished "magic signs."
