Connecting and configuring a Netis router. Connecting and configuring the Netis router Enter the settings

To be honest, until then I was not familiar with Netis routers. I bought the Netis WF2411 model to see what kind of devices they are, and to prepare a few instructions on how to configure these routers on the site. And in this article I will tell you how you can enter the settings of the Netis router. There is nothing difficult there, but I have already seen similar questions several times, so I decided to prepare a small instruction on how to get into the Netis control panel. As you already understood, I will show on the example of Netis WF2411. But if you have a different model, then the process itself should not be different.

After entering the settings, you can set up the Internet, Wi-Fi network, set or change the password, etc. By the way, on all these points I plan to prepare detailed instructions that I think will be useful to many. Compared to other routers, Netis has the same process of entering the settings page at all, so if you already have experience, then there should be no difficulties.

Open the Netis router settings at 192.168.1.1

First, we need to connect to the router. If you want to access the control panel from a computer or laptop, you can connect to the router using the network cable that comes with the kit. On the router, we connect the cable to the LAN connector, and on the computer to the network card.

You can connect, and go to settings via Wi-Fi network... Just connect to your router's wireless network. If the router is new, or you've just done a factory reset, the default name for a Wi-Fi network will be something like this: "netis_C2323B" (the standard name (SSID) is indicated on the sticker on the bottom of the router)... The default Wi-Fi password, I had "password"... This information is also indicated on a sticker on the bottom of the device. It also contains the address for accessing the settings of the Netis router.

Just connect to this wireless network from your laptop or mobile device.

We go into the settings through the browser

If after connecting to the Netis router you see a yellow icon next to the Internet connection icon, and the status "no Internet access", then this is quite normal. It's just that the router has not been configured yet, and you do not need the Internet to enter the settings.

After connecting, open any browser, and in the address bar, type the address 192.168.1.1 , http://netis.cc, or 192.168.1.245 (on new models). As you can see in the screenshot above, there is no 192.168.1.1 address on the router, only http://netis.cc. But on it, the settings open without problems. Type or copy the address and go to it. New devices have an IP address of 192.168.1.245.

The quick settings page will open immediately.

You can change the settings language to Russian. And to open more settings, just click on the button Advanced.

This is how the advanced settings look like:

I really liked the control panel itself. Simple, nothing superfluous, there is a Russian language (Tp-Link, hello), and an excellent page with the fastest and most important settings, where you can set up your Netis in almost a few clicks. And if necessary, you can go to the advanced settings, and just as quickly return to the quick settings.

netis.cc or192.168.1.245 and login / password guest

Update: on new models of Netis routers, the web interface (settings page) is already protected by a username and password by default. Login (User Name) - guestand the (Web Password) is [email protected] ... Where XXXX is the last four characters of the router's MAC address.

You will be prompted to enter a username and password in the browser after going to the address http://netis.cc or 192.168.1.245.

The IP address itself has changed too. Already in use http://192.168.1.245. Or the old hostname http://netis.cc.

The web interface itself has changed a bit too.

In terms of security, this is not a bad solution. I mean setting the guest login and password at the factory settings. In addition, the password on each router will be different, since the MAC address of each router is unique. Previously, the default settings for Netis routers were not protected at all. And few people set this password in the process of setting up the router. (although I write about this in every instruction)... And if the settings are not password protected, then anyone connected to the router can access the web interface.

But on the other hand, now the process of setting up the router has become a little more complicated. You need not only to connect everything and type the address of the router in the browser, but also enter the username and password. According to my observations, this causes confusion for ordinary users.

What to do if it doesn't go into Netis settings?

It may be that when you try to open the address 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.245 or http://netis.cc, you will see a message that "Pages are not available", or "Unable to open the page". A few tips to solve:

  • First of all, look at the tips from an article that was written specifically on this issue:
  • Be sure to check if you have set the automatic receipt of the IP address in the connection properties. How to do this, I described in detail in the article, the link to which is above.
  • Check if your router is powered on.
  • Check cable connections. It may be that you mistakenly connected the cable not to the LAN connector, but to the WAN.
  • If you cannot access the Netis router settings via cable, then try using Wi-Fi. And vice versa.
  • Try opening the web interface from another computer, if possible.
  • Reset your router and try going to http://netis.cc again.

That's all. I hope you succeeded. Good luck!

1. Connect the power cable to the router and plug it into a power outlet. Connect the Internet cable to the apartment to the WAN socket on the router.

2. Connect the network cable that comes with the router with one end to any LAN socket of the router, and connect the other end to the computer's network card.

If you want to configure the router via Wi-Fi, then connect to the wireless network that appears after turning on the router. It may be called “netis_A508B3”, and a password may be required to connect to the network. The network name and password are indicated on the back of the router.

3. If the computer was connected by cable, then it is necessary to enable automatic receipt of the IP-address and DNS server settings, this will help you.

4. Open any browser. In the address bar, enter the router's IP address http://192.168.1.1 or http://netis.cc and press Enter or Go. A page with router settings will open.

5. Select Russian in the list of languages

6. In the "Internet Connection Type" menu, select " Static IP "and enterthe settings given to you upon connection.

7. To set up a Wi-Fi network in the "SSID" field, specify any name for your network in English letters, for example, login, "Security" set On. and set a password for connection (at least 8 characters).

9. If IPTV is used, then you will need to open advanced settings: click "Advanced"

On the left, click "Advanced" - "IGMP", "Status" select On. and click "Save"

To configure the set-top box in STB mode, on the left, select "Network" - "IPTV", "IPTV mode" specify Bridge, "IPTV port" - LAN1 and click "Save"

Then connect the set-top box to the LAN1 jack on the router and in the network settings of the set-top box, specify the parameters given to you when connecting the IPTV

The topic of today's article is setting up a Netis router through the netis.cc personal account login site. I will show you how to connect a computer to Netis and set up a wifi network, as well as how to change the default password and set your own on the official firmware. I will show the whole process on the Netis WF2780 router, but in general, the instruction is universal for any model -, wf2419e, wf2880, mw5230, wf2180, wf2710, wf2409e, and so on.

How to connect WiFi router Netis WF2780 to the Internet?

In order to enter the personal account of the Netis router, first of all, you need to reset all network configurations on the computer itself. To do this, go to the settings for network connections and make sure that all the checkboxes are in the "Automatic" mode (IP address, Subnet mask and DNS servers)

After that, we connect the Netis router to an electrical outlet using the power adapter that came with it. We insert the cable from the Internet provider into the WAN port (on this model it is blue), and the cable with which you connect the router to the computer into the LAN port

Login to your NETIS.CC account - 192.168.1.1

To enter the Netis router, launch the browser and go either to the web address http://netis.cc, or by the IP of your personal account, which is standard by default (do not confuse it with the address 192.168.L.L - at the end you need to write exactly numbers, not the letters “l”).

If everything was done correctly before, the quick setup page will open - no additional authorization in the admin panel is required at the initial stage.

How to set up a Netis router through your personal account 192.168.1.1?

Also, the first thing will be useful so that you can use the login and password from the web interface, set by default from the factory. Perhaps someone has already tried to connect a router before you and set their own parameters.

Connecting a Netis router to the Internet

All basic Netis settings are located immediately on the start page. First of all, this is the configuration of the Internet and wireless networks. To connect the router to the Internet, you need to select one of the types:

  • Dynamic IP
  • Static IP
  • PPPoE
  • Others

Which one you have, you need to look in the contract for the provision of services with the provider - depending on this, you will need to enter certain data for connection. You also need to check with your operator.

You can also activate it here. This is done if the provider binds a specific connected computer to your contract. In this situation, to change it, you need to call technical support. In order not to do this, put a tick on “MAC Clone” and it will be automatically copied from the main computer.

Setting up a wifi network Netis

The next block is the wifi settings on the Netis router. In the model I have presented, there is support for two frequency ranges, so here you can set data for two networks at once. Namely

  • SSID ()
  • Security (must be checked ON)
  • Password

Initially, the two networks will work simultaneously, but later they can be activated separately in the advanced settings of Netis.

After entering all the parameters, click on the "Save" button, after which two new wifi networks will appear in the field of visibility of all devices with a wireless module.

How can I change the default password and put my own on the Netis router?

Now let's see how to change the password on the wifi router, which was the default for connecting to your wireless network. We go to the administrator section (how to do it is described) and click on the "Advanced" button

If your router is dual-band, that is, it distributes the Internet at 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies at the same time, you need to understand the password from which name range you want to change. The settings for each of them are located in different subsections of the same name. I will show using the example of the most used of them - I open the heading “2.4 GHz wireless mode”, section “Wi-Fi settings”.

Here, in the “Access point security settings” block, we are looking for the “Password” item - this is where you can register a new key for connection.

To apply the change, press the "Save" button and wait for the router to restart.

Video on connecting and configuring a netis router

Ordinary users need high-speed Internet access with a stable wireless signal and a long range, so all additional complex functions are superfluous. These criteria are fully met by the Netis router, which also has an affordable price and high build quality. Below is a guide on how to connect and configure settings using the example of the Netis WF2411E router.

The web interface of the device is simple and thoughtful and, most importantly, it is Russified, so setting up a Netis router will not cause difficulties even for novice users.

The instructions below are universally applicable to all Netis models. The Netis router is very easy to connect and to enter settings.

The procedure for connecting the device to a PC, laptop or mobile device

Before setting up, the device must be correctly connected.

It is necessary to carry out the following sequential steps:

The above connection instructions are preferable and will exclude possible malfunctions during subsequent adjustments. However, in the absence of a computer, it is quite possible to enter the required parameters using a wireless connection of any mobile device to the router. As soon as the router is turned on, it will immediately start broadcasting its Wi-Fi network with a name, for example, "netis_C2323B". You just need to connect to it using the “password” code from a smartphone or tablet and enter the equipment interface. On the lower part of the device body there are written the login name and password.

Sometimes the specified access codes and login do not work. This happens when the equipment has already been configured and used in the provider's network. In this case, it is recommended to reset the device parameters to the factory state. To this end, simply by pressing, for about ten seconds, hold the special "Reset" button recessed in the case.

Enter settings

The procedure for entering the router interface has absolutely no differences from other routers, so users who already have similar experience will cope with the process even without instructions.

It is required to carry out the following several actions:

Setting up

You can quickly enter settings as follows:

If you need detailed settings, you need to click "Advanced".

After that, a window will be displayed with all the sections arranged in the left block of the menu, and the main interface window is used to enter the parameters of the equipment functioning.

Section "Network"

The router can operate over a wired connection and over Wi-Fi. When you open the "Network" tab, you can select any of these connection methods.

Further parameters will appear. For example, in the case of using a Wi-Fi network, a list of networks will be displayed, and when a cable connection is made, then you should select the WAN type. There is also a subsection "LAN" where you can enter IP, DHCP. In some modifications of "Netis" an IPTV connection is provided, which is enabled by specifying the "Bridge" mode and entering the used LAN connector.

Wi-Fi mode

To enter the WiFi parameters, you need to enter the "Wireless mode" section, where you specify the name of the created WiFi, the access code to it, the type of encryption protection, the channel width, etc.

After completing the adjustments, click on "Save".

In the future, when connecting devices to the created network, you will need to specify the name and password entered in this window, therefore it is strongly recommended to write them down in a notepad, since even the worst notepad is always better than the best memory.
