The compact version of the flagship smartphone Sony Xperia Z3 is the most popular, but not the older brother, and should be considered as a purchase in the event that you do not need a device with a large display.

I took away my smartphone just before the spring trip to Munich, went with a friend to a classic road - marvel at the black tea, drink Christmas beer (just as Oktoberfest began), buy an iPhone 6, have a delicious meal at a cafe, market and crash home. Having taken the Z3 Compact with me, I was thinking of controlling the broadcast on YouTube, as a result, I had no energy in the evening, and the video was broken - but you have to know that the smartphone supports such an option, even if it does not accept it. And for the entire hour of driving, the Z3 Compact kept my friend calm, even though he was pleased, constantly asking him to marvel, to twirl it in his hands, to know what the functions and features are.

I wish I had an iPhone 6, they waited for a long time. What's next to a small Android smartphone? Well, as practice shows, the Z3 Compact really evokes positive emotions in people and not a lot of negative emotions. It's small and very thoughtful. Having first learned, everyone doesn’t want to give up on the fact that in this “compact” there is no metal frame, which is replaced by a polymer. After this month of victory, I can happily say that there is nothing terrible. It looks good, doesn’t wobble, you can lift the device from the table just with your fingertips (on the Z3 view), what else do you need?

When setting up the display, you can turn on the “With mittens” mode, select white balance, and activate the function of activating the device under the pressure of the screen when the smartphone is turned on. Previously, this function was not available on large flagships. The smart backlight function is supported - the screen does not darken while the smartphone is in your hand. You can choose the brightness yourself, or trust the automation, I give preference to the first option.

For now, everything works best within the boundaries of a home Wi-Fi network, but there is an increase in possibilities – for example, in Berlin I could turn on my Z3 set-top box, launch BF4, place my smartphone near the joystick and calmly play for a year before going to bed. Great design, good display and camera, water protection – it’s not just protection, you can literally use your smartphone at the same time. Skoda does not come with any accessories, but you can buy a noise-canceling headset or a stereo microphone if you want to capture good videos from concerts. It’s great to select fonts in the menu, the camera effects are effective, if you’re sitting in a group and have nothing else to do, turn on the AR Effect and enjoy. The speaker, as I have already said, is loud enough, but there are no complaints about it. Supported by LTE, with Beeline and Megafon everything worked perfectly.

The transmission of airwaves is at a good level, as compared to the Z2, but there is no effect when you hear the sound from the speaker with your ear - one of the remaining firmwares for the Z2 corrected this bug, the Z3 Compact is all the same. In the midst of great smartphones with great screens, finding a neat little smartphone seems to be even more difficult. It’s sad that Sony is going through a lot of trouble, since the miniature version of the flagship is identical in characteristics and has its own tricks. What would I want from the Z4 Compact? It is possible to do without frames altogether, add a headset to the set, make frames from metal - even metal designers love it, whatever. More plugs are added to save water.
