Not long ago, two affordable smartphones on the Windows Phone operating system appeared on our market. One, as you already know, is called Highscreen WinWin and costs about 4,500 rubles, and the other is WinJoy and costs less than 4,000 rubles. Such prices could result from the fact that Microsoft announced at the Build 2014 retailer conference that manufacturers of smartphones and tablets with displays smaller than nine inches will not have to pay licensing fees Credit to Microsoft for the promotion of W8 and WP8.

Highscreen devices practically do not differ from one to the other, so we would like to write a review of WinWin and WinJoy in one article.

Design, dimensions, core elements

The fragments of a budget device are difficult to see among the mass of similar gadgets, especially on the Android OS; most often, manufacturers try to separate their devices by choosing different colors of replaceable panels. So, for example, WinWin has one small panel in a yellow color, and the rest of the gadget is black. The first one is made of porous plastic and is covered with a soft-touch ball. And the “Windowsphone” WinJoy is sold without replacement covers, but you can get it in either a red or black version (later, perhaps, it will appear in white and blue colors). The dark one probably has a soft-touch cover, while the red one has a polished plastic cover.


Regardless of practically new technical characteristics, including screen diagonal, the dimensions of smartphones vary:

I am more pleased with WinJoy. It is more compact, fits easily in your hand, and can be easily handled. The WinWin device is bent, not for the sake of the larger screen, but for the larger frame of the screen. Therefore, from the point of view of ergonomics, the design of the young models is used.





The edging is in black color on “VinVin” with soft-touch, and on “Vinj” - with matte.





The screens of gadgets were stolen with a soft glass. For a couple of years I haven’t been able to “plant” the rags. Oleophobic coating is here and there. The fingertips will be lost, but will be easily erased. With a finger along the edge it is good. Anti-glare ball is also included.





The yellow back cover of WinWin is subject to brushing, and during active use its edges rub and darken. Okay, the tracks can be carefully cleaned. With a cover on WinJoy, it’s easier to earn money.

Notes about the device are set on a solid base: do not creak, do not crunch when twisted and crushed, the outer parts do not bend to the batteries.

At the top of the front panel there are large speakers. However, the intensity is not high, I would say low. The versatility is more pleasant (as I thought, it’s better on WinWin), mainly sensitive high frequencies, the variety of the middle. It’s a bit deaf to smell you. Zagalom, speakers are not the best, but not the best. There are proximity sensors, but there are no light sensors. Front cameras are on the lower edges.


Below the display are standard touch buttons: “Back”, “Start” and “Search”. The stench is brewed with the scent of a white-colored farb. Subswitching is present, it’s a little brighter on WinWin.


The microphone for WinJoy is located on the bottom end, and for WinWin it is under the “Sound” button. At the top end of the VinVin there is a micro-USB socket and a 3.5 mm audio output, on the Vinj there is only a 3.5 mm audio output. On the left side of the older model there is a dial key for adjusting the tension. It's plastic, black in color, well rounded, easy to get wet with your fingers, pressed against the soft part, the movement is small. The volume control on WinJoy is on the right side, and a little lower is the phone’s power button (similarly arranged in WinWin).


The glasses of the cameras and the helmet are located on the gate of the devices. One of the main features of WinWin and WinJoy is that everything else has one speaker. It is both divisive and polyphonic. WinWin has a speaker on the bottom of the back.

Another difference: the WinWin device has slots for miniSIM cards, and the WinJoy has microSIM slots. In my opinion, microSIM works well, and now almost all modern devices use this standard.

However, it allowed - 480x800 pixels, thickness - 233 PPI. Vikonan's matrices are not based on IPS technology, which is unimportant from a glance: as soon as you change the screen in front of you, the brightness and contrast change, but in front of you, the color is sharply inverted. I think it’s worse for the WinJoy screen, since this one has less brightness of the matrix, less contrast, and the contrast is protected, which wastes a lot of image detail.

Since the devices do not have brightness sensors, the brightness is adjusted manually. Traditionally, for Windows Phone there are only three “scales”: low, middle, high.

The WinWin screen allows for up to 3 one-hour ticks, and the WinJoy screen - up to 2. Sensitivity is good.

Batteries

The WinWin smartphone has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 2000 mAg (B2000B, 7.6 Wh), while the WinJoy has a lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 1700 mAg (BL4G-I, 6.46 Wh).

The device was not used for long, but after a couple of days of use, it became clear that batteries do not last long, especially if you use two cards.

In video mode (MP4, 640x480 pixels) at maximum brightness and volume in headphones, the WinWin battery runs out after about 4 years (WinJoy - in 3 years). If you use 3G, earn about 10-15 coins for 1-2 hours, take a picture of 20 minutes, then the WinWin battery runs out in 7-8 years (WinJoy in about the same hour). Games take about 2 years to fill a WinWin battery, and 1.5 years for a WinJoy.


The WinWin device charges in less than 2.5 years, and the WinJoy charges a little more in 1.5 years.

In this section, everything is typical for any Android smartphone in the budget category. The device operates in 2G (GSM / GPRS / EDGE, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and 3G (900/2100 MHz).

If one slot works in 3G, the other one will automatically switch to 2G in both models. Then the same slots can function in 3G, but not immediately.

Regardless of the low quality of WinWin and WinJoy, they are supported by 5 MP cameras with autofocus, as well as the presence of a “Selfie” camera. In theory, the modules are responsible for the damage to the front cameras.

Highscreen WinJoy beast

Lens aperture F2.4, WinWin aperture - 40 mm, WinJoy aperture - 35 mm. The remaining displays are marked with an indestructible eye: the picture on WinWin is severely cropped. In addition, the “VinVin” camera is noticeably “noisy”; the detailing is deeper and lower in the “Vinj” frames.

The camera on WinJoy performed well, but for 5 MP it’s completely bad: perfectly clear frames, normal sharpness, blurring and precise focus. True, sometimes the white balance is empty.

The front camera WinWin is 0.3 MP, and WinJoy is 1.3 MP. Better than everything else, interpolation, however, is all the better for the younger model: more visibility, more accurate exposure, better white balance.

Videos are recorded at a resolution of 865x480 pixels at 30 frames per second. Presence autofocus. The WinJoy camera can focus the sharpness at a distance of about 3-5 cm. The sound is cleaner on the WinJoy, but quieter, lower on the WinWin.

Productivity and software platform

Both smartphones operate on Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8212 chipsets - 4 cores at 1.2 GHz, 45 nm process technology, graphics support Adreno 302 (OpenGL ES 2.0, OpenGL ES 1.1, OpenVG 1.1, EGL 1.3, Direct3D Mobile, DirectDraw ). By the way, the average is between 8225Q and 8210.

The sound in the headphones is more intense, lower in WinJoy: more bass, more acceptable mid frequencies. Then there are a little less high frequencies. It would be better if only mid and high frequencies are played.

The Highscreen WinWin and WinJoy devices create videos with separate resolutions up to 1280x720 at low bitrates, or even “show” simple videos in a resolution of 360x640 or a little higher.

Once again I’ll remind you of the price of Highscreen devices on the WP 8.1 operating system: WinWin will cost you 4,500 rubles, and WinJoy - 4,000 rubles. The quality of the binding is not too bad, the vibration is approximately average.

The Highscreen WinWin box is slightly larger than its twin, and has no other significant features. The equipment of this smartphone is also similar to the descriptions above, with the exception of one point: with the Highscreen WinWin, the buyer immediately gets all the naturally changing rear panels for the smartphone, of which there are two options: black and yellow.

External appearance and handiness of the vikoristan

The Highscreen WinJoy distributors did not prepare any special design or construction features. Before us is a classic smartphone from the lower price segment of the market. The shape and dimensions of the body correspond to all the trends in smartphone construction of the rest of the world: a rectangular body, beveled edges, slender edges - all those that can be found in dozens, or even hundreds of other devices. Microsoft's instructions specify a number of controls, developers can vary them in small intervals and change the place of modification, but in Highscreen they decided not to work.

While Highscreen WinJoy seems completely faceless, Highscreen WinWin is dumb. The designers did a little tweaking and added a touch of “trick” to this look. First of all, there are a lot of bends on the front side of the smartphone body, and in another way, there is a high level of finishing of the details of the back cover: a protrusion at the camera lens, small supports with a speaker, a large and attractive “Highscreen” inscription. The smartphone definitely looks better than its younger brother.

All parts of Highscreen WinJoy are made from different types of plastic: the main body is made from black matte metal material, the removable panels are made from flexible polycarbonate. They don’t care about those that the replacement panels are not made of soft touch plastic, a farb that is covered with a stench, the little bits of it go through the forge, but not a slimy gloss. Above the display there are: a speaker, an additional camera lens, and a proximity sensor. For the camera lens and sensor, the openings are dry, which can also make it difficult to clean the front panel of the Highscreen WinJoy. In addition, the Highscreen WinWin has a gap between the screen and the frame, which prevents the same unwanted problems.

At the bottom of the front panel of both smartphones there are three standard touch buttons, which are illuminated.

The design of the rear exchangeable covers of both smartphones is similar - the “chevnik” design is well known to us and is popular among manufacturers of Windows Phone smartphones. The rear interchangeable panel completely covers the main body of the smartphone, as if it were locked empty. In this case, the replacement panel covers not only the back part of the mobile computer body, but also all the side edges. For the connectors and lens of the transfer camera, open, for physical keys - repeat.

The design of WinJoy and WinWin can be called transitional, since the cover does not cover the body completely, and on the side edges the thin smoothness of black plastic is lost - the rigidity edge of the smartphone.

The back panel of Highscreen WinJoy and WinWin is easy and simple to install. So it just goes back on itself. To make it easier to handle, there is a recess for the nail.

You can replace the microSD memory card in Highscreen WinJoy without connecting the power supply or power supply. There is no way to replace SIM cards. There are no significant claims regarding the quality of materials and assembly of Highscreen WinJoy. Having spent time before us for a look at Highscreen WinWin, it is more clear that he is his younger brother. The body does not detect any external sounds.

Of course, there are several options for loading the rear panel of Highscreen WinJoy. Having consumed a red smartphone before us, it may also be blue, white or black.

Highscreen WinWin can be either a black color or a canary-yellow color.

The construction and design of the Highscreen WinJoy neither impressed nor disappointed, there are no objective defects in this hero, all parameters correspond to its price. Regardless of its size and size, Highscreen WinJoy can be manually operated with one hand and moved smoothly between bags, bags and other containers, which is consistent with the concept of a compact smartphone.

The same can be said about its older brother - Highscreen WinWin. These advantages include: a clearer design, soft and non-marking materials, a brightly colored barbered finish, and a number of small designer “tricks”. Highscreen WinWin looks more attractive and not as over-budgeted and dull as Highscreen WinJoy.

Navigation capabilities are based on the satellite systems of GPS and GLONASS. The separate size of the main camera is 5 megapixels. It is equipped with an automatic focusing function and is capable of recording video at a resolution of 864 by 480 pixels. The front is not hostile. Allowed only 0.3 megapixels.
