There are a lot of things left behind the processor in games. What does the graphics processor frequency of a video card contribute to, and what does it mean? How many processor cores are there?

Many Gravians respect the heavy video card as the main driver in games, but this is not entirely true. Of course, a lot of graphics adjustments do not apply to the CPU, but rather burn up the graphics card, but this does not affect the fact that the processor does not get stuck during heating. This article gives a detailed look at the principle of CPU operation in games, which is why it is so important to use the device in games.

Apparently, the CPU transmits commands from external devices to the system and is engaged in various operations and data transfer. The speed of this operation depends on the number of cores and other characteristics of the processor. All functions are actively supported if you turn on any game. Let's take a closer look at a few simple applications:

Review of koristuvach commands

Almost all games rely on external connections to peripheral devices, be it a keyboard or a mouse. They involve transport, character or other objects. The processor receives commands from the processor and transmits them to the program itself, where the programmed action is completed practically without delay.

This project is one of the largest and most complex. That's why it's often necessary to turn off the lint when it's going down, because it doesn't withstand the pressure of the processor. On a number of frames the price cannot be adjusted in any way, it is practically impossible to work with control.

Generating drop-in objects

A lot of items in games appear in the same place over and over again. Let's take it as a starting point for the game GTA 5. The engine for the processor can generate an object at the right time in the designated place.

Then the objects are not at all unique, and the stench is created behind the singing algorithms due to the computational efforts of the processor. In order to ensure the presence of a large number of different types of input objects, the engine transmits the inputs to the processor that need to be generated. So it turns out that a varied light with a large number of unstable objects forces the CPU into high pressure to generate the necessary things.

NPC Behavior

Let's take a look at this parameter on the iGor application with the light on, so it will be more clear. NPCs call all characters who are not engraved, and are programmed to perform songs with the appearance of singing followers. For example, if you open a war in GTA 5, then it will simply disperse into different sides, without regard to individual actions, even for which a large number of processor resources are required.

Moreover, in games with open light, there are no special stages, such as the main character. For example, on the sports square we don’t lose anyone in football, because you don’t teach anyone, but stand behind the horn. Everything turns out to be less than the main character. The engine does not work more than what we do not understand through its growth in the country.

Objects and more middle ground

The processor needs to open up the objects, end to end, generate all the data and transfer the video card for display. Let's focus on the task of decomposing objects that are frozen, which requires additional resources. Then the video card is taken to work with careful refinement and further details are finalized. Due to weak CPU loads in games, sometimes objects are not attracted to each other, the road disappears, and you are deprived of boxes. In several episodes, the game simply slows down at any hour to generate an unnecessary middling.

Then everything should lie just in front of the engine. In some games, the deformation of cars, simulation of wind, wool and grass are used in video cards. This significantly reduces the intensity of the processor. Sometimes it happens that it is necessary to switch the processor, through which frames and freezes are processed. If the particles: sparks, sparks, sparkles of water are formed by the CPU, then the singing algorithm is behind everything. The cracks from the broken window will fall again and again.

How adjustments in games affect the processor

Let's take a look at a number of current games and understand what graphics parameters are selected on the processor. The tests have the same fate as the ones that are divided into power engines, which will help to perform an objective check. In order for the tests to be as objective as possible, we should check the video card so that the games are not 100% focused, so we can make the tests more objective. We will visualize the changes in these very scenes, vikoristic and overlay with FPS Monitor programs.

GTA 5

Changing the number of particles, the quality of textures, and reducing resolution will in no way improve CPU performance. The increase in frames is only visible after the population has been reduced and the range has been reduced to a minimum. There is no need to change everything to a minimum, since in GTA 5 almost all processes are carried out by the video card.

Due to the changes in population, we have achieved a change in the number of objects by folding logic, and the range of markings has reduced the number of visual objects, such as in the game. So now they won’t look like boxes when we are far away from them, they will just look like boxes.

Watch Dogs 2

Post-processing effects such as sharpness depth, pitch and cut did not increase the number of frames per second. However, slight increases were removed after reducing the adjustment of shadows and particles.

In addition, a slight increase in the smoothness of the picture was obtained after reducing the relief and geometry to minimal values. Changing the separate sections of the screen did not produce any positive results. If you change all the values to minimal ones, you will get the same effect as after reducing the adjustment of shadows and particles, in which there is no special sense.

Crysis 3

Crysis 3 is one of the most valuable computer games. It was built on the powerful CryEngine 3 engine, so it is important to note that adjustments that affect the smoothness of the picture may not give such a result in other games.

Minimal adjustments to objects and particles significantly increased the minimum FPS indicator, and during the process, everything was still present. The difference in the productivity of fish appeared after a change in the acidity of water and water. Reducing all graphics parameters to the minimum helped to avoid sudden drawdowns, but this practically did not affect the smoothness of the picture.

Processor– this is the main computing component that greatly affects the productivity of the computer. How much productivity in games is left behind the processor? Why change the processor to improve productivity in games? What kind of growth will it give? Based on this, we will try to find a confirmation of this statistic.

1. What to change the video card or processor

Recently I was once again confronted with the lack of productivity of my computer and realized that the time had come for a major upgrade. At that moment my configuration was as follows:

  • Phenom II X4 945 (3 GHz)
  • 8 GB DDR2 800 MHz
  • GTX 660 2 GB

At the end of the day, the productivity of the computer was less than controlled, the system worked smoothly, most of the games were played on high or medium/high graphics settings, and I didn’t edit the video so often, so 15-30 hours of rendering didn’t strain me get lost.

The first problems arose in World of Tanks, when changing the graphics adjustment from high to medium did not give a significant increase in productivity. The frame rate periodically dropped from 60 to 40 FPS. It became clear that productivity rests on the processor. It was then up to 3.6 GHz, which caused problems for WoT.

It’s time, new important games were released, and with WoT I have more access to system resources (Armata). The situation repeated itself and it became necessary to change the power supply - the video card or processor. There was no way to change the GTX 660 to a 1060, you would need a GTX 1070. But you definitely wouldn’t be able to get that Phenom video card. When changing the adjustments in Armati, it was clear that productivity was again limited to the processor. Therefore, it was possible to replace the first processor by switching to the Intel platform, which is more productive in games.

Replacing the processor requires replacing the motherboard and RAM. Otherwise, there was no other way out, and there was hope that the older processor would allow the old video card to open up better in processor-dependent games.

2. Processor vibration

There were no Ryzen processors at that time, their release was just coming to fruition. In order to fully evaluate them, it was necessary to complete their output and mass testing to identify strengths and weaknesses.

In addition, it was already clear that the price at the time of their release would be high and it would be necessary to check even more until the prices for them became adequate. There was no need to check the style, so it’s easy to switch to the current AM4 platform. And looking at AMD’s eternal blunders, the whole thing has been ruined.

Therefore, the Ryzen processors were not visible, and the advantage was given even by revisions, especially the Intel platform on socket 1151, which has proven itself well. And, as practice has shown, it’s not for nothing, since Ryzen processors turned out to be worse in games, and in other areas of productivity they were less efficient.

For now, choose between Core i5 processors:

  • Core i5-6600
  • Core i5-7600
  • Core i5-6600K
  • Core i5-7600K

For a mid-class gaming computer, an i5-6600 would be a minimum option. In case of the prospect of replacing the video card, I wanted to have a spare one. The Core i5-7600 did not grow much, so it was planned to add a Core i5-6600K or Core i5-7600K with the possibility of overclocking to a stable 4.4 GHz.

However, having learned from the results of tests on current games, where the popularity of these processors was approaching 90%, it was clear that in the future they might not be used for much longer. But I wanted a good platform to last for a long time, because the hours had passed when it was possible to upgrade my PC soon

That’s why I started to wonder about Core i7 processors:

  • Core i7-6700
  • Core i7-7700
  • Core i7-6700K
  • Core i7-7700K

In today's games, the stench is even more compelling, but here it is by 60-70%. Well, the Core i7-6700 has a base frequency of only 3.4 GHz, and the Core i7-7700 is not much more – 3.6 GHz.

Based on test results, current games with top-end video cards show the greatest increase in productivity at 4 GHz. It is not so significant, but at other times it is practically unnoticeable.

Regardless of those that i5 and i7 processors are equipped with auto-boosting technology (), it is especially difficult to invest in them, since in games where all cores are involved, the increase will be insignificant (only 100-200 MHz).

Such a rank, processori Core i7-6700K (4 GHz) TA I7-7700K (4.2 GHz) є bilsh is optimal, and fateful to the rodgone to stable 4.4 GHz, the most pronounced NIZH I7-6700 (3.4 GHz) TA I7-7700 ( 3.6 GHz), the difference in frequency is now 800-1000 MHz!

At the time of the upgrade, Intel 7th generation processors (Core i7-7xxx) only appeared and were priced significantly more expensive for 6th generation processors (Core i7-6xxx), prices have already begun to decline. In this case, in the new generation, they added a new graphics, which is not needed for games. But the possibilities of dispersing the stench are practically the same.

In addition, motherboards with new chipsets are also more expensive (although you can install a processor on an older chipset, this may be associated with certain problems).

Therefore, it was decided to choose the Core i7-6700K with a base frequency of 4 GHz and possible overclocking to a stable 4.4 GHz for the upcoming one.

3. Select motherboard and memory

I, like most enthusiasts and technical experts, give preference to clear and stable motherboards from ASUS. For the Core i7-6700K processor with overclocking capabilities, the best option is motherboards based on the Z170 chipset. In addition, I would like to have a sound card installed. So it was decided to take the cheapest gaming motherboard from ASUS on the Z170 chipset – .

Memory, due to the motherboard's support for module frequencies up to 3400 MHz, we wanted it to be faster as well. For a daily gaming computer, the best option is a 2x8 GB DDR4 memory kit. It was impossible to find out the optimal price/frequency kit.

Initially, the choice fell on AMD Radeon R7 (2666 MHz), since then the price was even more attractive. Ale was not in stock at the time of ordering. I had a chance to choose between the rich track G.Skill RipjawsV (3000 MHz) and the slightly less expensive Team T-Force Dark (2666 MHz).

This was a folding choice, the fragments of memory wanted to be seen as clearly as possible, and the money was separated. Based on the results of tests in current games (which I'm very active), the difference in productivity between memory with a frequency of 2133 MHz and 3000 MHz was 3-13% and an average of 6%. It’s not that rich, but I’d like to get the maximum.

It’s important that the Swede remembers to work hard at the factory overclocking of larger chips. The G.Skill RipjawsV memory (3000 MHz) is not to blame and, to achieve such a frequency, its operating voltage is set to 1.35 V. In addition, it is important for processors to overcharge the memory at a very high frequency and even at a frequency of 3000 MHz the system can practice not stable. This increased voltage leads to greater wear and tear (degradation) of both the memory chips and the processor controller (Intel has officially stated this).

At the same time, the Team T-Force Dark memory (2666 MHz) operates at a voltage of 1.2 and, according to the manufacturer’s statements, allows a voltage increase of up to 1.4 V, which, if necessary, can be turned on manually. Considering all the pros and cons, choosing a solution for memory speed with standard voltage 1.2.

4. Productivity tests in games

Before changing the platform, I ran performance tests on the old system in various games. After changing the platforms, the same testing was carried out again.

Tests were carried out on a clean Windows 7 system with the same video card (GTX 660) at high graphics settings, since by replacing the processor there was an increase in productivity without a decrease in image clarity.

In order to achieve accurate results, the tests were conducted using a different benchmark. As a result, a productivity test in the online tank shooter Armored Warfare was carried out by recording a replay and further profiling it with the help of Fraps.

Highly adjusted graphics.

Test on Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz).

The test results show that the average FPS has changed slightly (from 36 to 38). This means that the productivity of this game depends on the video card. Tim is no less, the minimum FPS drop in all tests has changed significantly (from 11-12 to 21-26), which means that playing will still be a little more comfortable.

In hopes of improved productivity with DirectX 12 later, I ran a test on Windows 10.

But the results turned out to be worse.

Batman: Arkham Knight

Highly adjusted graphics.

Test on Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz).

Test Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz).

The game is even more powerful than a video card or a processor. The tests show that replacing the processor led to a significant increase in the average FPS (from 14 to 23) and a change in the minimum drawdown (from 0 to 15), the maximum value also increased (from 27 to 37). Tim is no less, since the exhibitors do not allow you to play comfortably, so I decided to conduct tests using average adjustments and including various effects.

Average graphics settings.

Test on Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz).

Test Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz).

At medium settings, the average FPS also showed a slight increase (from 37 to 44), and the drawdown significantly decreased (from 22 to 35), exceeding the minimum acceptable for a comfortable game of 30 FPS. The growth at the maximum value was also preserved (from 50 to 64). After changing the processor, gaming became completely comfortable.

Switching to Windows 10 without changing anything.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Highly adjusted graphics.

Test on Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz).

Test Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz).

The result of replacing the processor was the reduction in FPS drawdowns (from 13 to 18). The tests were averagely adjusted, I unfortunately forgot to carry out the Ale Prov test on DirectX 12.

As a result, the minimum FPS is required.

Armored Warfare: Project Armata.

I often play this game and it has become one of the main reasons for upgrading my computer. At high settings, the game reached 40-60 FPS with rare, but unacceptable drops of up to 20-30.

Reducing the adjustment to average resulted in serious drawbacks, and the average FPS lost almost the same amount, which is an indirect sign of a lack of productivity of the processor.

A replay was recorded and tests were completed in the creation mode with the help of FRAPS at high settings.

I read these results at the sign.

Processor FPS (xv) FPS (middle) FPS (Max)
Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz) 28 51 63
Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz) 57 69 80

Replacing the processor completely turned off critical FPS drops and seriously increased the average frame rate. This made it possible to turn on vertical synchronization, making the picture more smooth and acceptable. With this, the game runs at a stable 60 FPS without lag and gaming is even more comfortable.

Other games

I have not carried out tests, but in general a similar picture emerges from most online and processor-based games. The processor seriously impacts FPS in online games such as Battlefield 1 and Overwatch. And also in games with open light like GTA 5 and Watch Dogs.

As an experiment, I installed GTA 5 on an old PC with a Phenom processor and a new one with a Core i7. Whereas previously, at high settings, FPS trimmed between 40-50, now it consistently trims above 60, practically without subsidence, and often reaches 70-80. These changes are marked with an unbroken eye, and the changes can simply be extinguished in a row.

5. Rendering productivity test

I don't do a lot of video editing and run just one simple test. I rendered Full HD video with a length of 17:22 and a volume of 2.44 GB with a lower bitrate for the Camtasia program, which I use. As a result, your file is 181 MB in size. The processors burst into oblivion for the coming hour.

Processor Hour
Phenom X4 (@3.6 GHz) 16:34
Core i7-6700K (4.0 GHz) 3:56

Of course, a video card (GTX 660) was involved in the rendering, because I don’t understand who would think of doing rendering without a video card, since it takes 5-10 times more than an hour. In addition, the smoothness and fluidity of the effects created during installation will also depend on the video card.

Tim is not less, the storage capacity of the processor is not affected and the Core i7 matches these tasks 4 times faster than the Phenom X4. With increased ease of installation and the effects of this time can increase significantly. Whereas the Phenom X4 will last for 2 years, the Core i7 will last for 30 minutes.

If you plan to seriously engage in video editing, then a powerful high-threading processor and a great deal of memory should save time.

6. Visnovok

The appetite for daily games and professional extras is already growing rapidly, requiring constant investments in computer modernization. If you have a weak processor, then it makes no sense to change the video card, it simply won’t open, then. Productivity depends on the processor.

Today's platform is based on a powerful processor with sufficient RAM to ensure high PC productivity for years to come. This reduces the cost of upgrading a computer and eliminates the need to change your PC every so often.

7. Posilannya

Processor Intel Core i7-8700
Processor Intel Core i5-8400
Processor Intel Core i3 8100

Hello everyone! There are a lot of uninformed buyers who want to buy their own gaming computer and bid only on one component - a video card. And, it would seem, the approach would be entirely logical, even if a computer is needed to play games, and therefore, the most important thing to watch out for when purchasing is a graphic hassle. However, this approach in itself is kind of lax, and a small piece of silicon, called a processor, is often deprived of respect. I want this to be even more important in the gaming machine. In today's article we will talk, as you guessed, about processors and their role in gaming applications.

When choosing to get into a gaming car, the gamer is not to blame for the usual problems with the choice of video card, everything is quite simple here. The more pennies, the better you can get a graphic quickie. A longer road is guaranteed to give you more productivity, and therefore more shots from your favorite games. When choosing a processor, everything is not so simple and obvious. In order to know what you are paying your gold coins for when you buy a piece of silicon, it is necessary to understand what the CPU itself represents in terms of gaming interests. And once again we turn to graphics adapters, then every other developer knows that a video card serves as a visual warehouse for any game project. What does my Pentium stand for, you ask? Let's get along.

As they say, the heart of your system is based on various mathematical developments, the abundance of which lies in the middle of its productivity. Increased productivity is achieved by increasing the clock frequency or by increasing the number of cores and threads. Expensive processors, as a rule, have a high Hertz power and, as a rule, are all representatives of the rich-core family, and therefore, cope with the tasks assigned to them in a much faster, lower models. To better understand what the highly productive stone itself provides, I will make a few examples.

Review of koristuvach commands

With the help of an intermediary in a special motherboard, the processor delivers data sorted by type to various components and from them receives the individual information, and then processes it. There is a circulation of information in the middle of the system, in the center of which there is this silicon piece. The strength and speed of any interactions between the computer and the computer using data entry devices depend directly on the productivity of the CPU. So, for the ability to handle the game with a character for additional pressing on the keyboard and transferring the target, you can thank us in front of the CPU. Skin pressure on the key sends information to the processor, which then produces a song for the game. So the axis between pressure and the result of your pressure takes as long as the processor needs to process it. The more efficient the processor is, the faster the signal will be processed, and therefore the delay will be minimal. You can prevent video jamming by running an important gaming program on an old processor. By turning the bear around, you will see that the camera will rotate within one or two seconds after you put the rodent. This is not to say about the lack of pressure on the CPU. For a few frames per second, this situation does not affect the ease of gameplay. It’s crazy, if you don’t get enough money from the expensive money of the players, you can gamble like this, but the game will immediately infuse a number of factors that lie behind the processor.

Pobudova of a naive middle class

In order to understand what the processor in the game does, you will have to get a little used to 3D modeling. Mostly everything you learn from the game is models. Booths, characters, cars, timber, wood, etc. – all around the model. For its detailing, it is evident that it is a graphics processor, and the axis for its everyday placement in space is evidently due to one thing – the processor. So that the CPU itself is turned on first in the robot, it collects all the necessary data and sends them to the video card so that it can begin painting and detailing the skin object. If we speak more simply, then the dialogue between the two components will look like this:

Processor: “Hey,sssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss]]

Well, and the video card, as a representative of the female race, who already loves beauty, cannot see his fellow techie and says: “So, of course, I’ll crush this uncouth piece of shit into stone.”

If the rhubarb of your piece of silicon will greatly differ from the minimal system capabilities of the game, then in the game you will be careful not to over-involve the objects and in this case the dialogue between the components will already look like this:

Video card: “Hey, are you alive there? I’ve already finished my work, what else are there?”

To which the processor responds: “Watch out, I’ve been thinking about it for a little while and I can’t figure out whether the earth is under the tank or above it...”

At this time, freezes and microstatters appear when the picture freezes unnecessarily, and the processor is currently straining all its connections so as not to have mercy on the ghosts. Therefore, in modern games, where there are a large number of models and varied interactions between them, the presence of a highly productive processor is evident.

  • P.S. In one of these screenshots, you can see the difference in the brilliance of the model with a different number of polygons that are being analyzed. The more there are, the clearer the object will appear. Of course, there may also be some bias due to other factors. For example, the type of texture that is applied over polygons, the type of smoothing, etc. As I have already written above, the processing of objects is often done by the processor, and the graphics accelerator is responsible for its functions. To lie directly on the engine developed by the developers under the hour of creation, which contains similar algorithms. Thus, it allows vendors to change or enhance system capabilities for one of the components. Therefore, it will not be long before in everyday situations the CPU will be involved, the video card, as a friend, will take on part of its burden. Perhaps, in the distant future, we will consider one united solution, which is represented by GPU + CPU at a time. Nowadays, you can often watch out for the development of the capabilities of graphics processors, which instead of the processor can handle rendering in traditional graphics programs and live broadcasts in streaming utilities. Although previously such tasks were exclusively the prerogative of the processor.

Mathematical algorithms

Any trivial gaming appendix has a lot of speeches based on the old algorithms developed by the developers, which the processor handles. The most banal and basic butt is practical in any shade that is thrown by objects. For the simplest shadow to appear, say, like a tree, the processor needs to open the light source to the object that throws the shadow, where there is a drop in light changes, a dynamic change in volume The effects of space, interaction with other objects are sharp, the intensity of lightening and richness something else. And this is all for some worthless shade, for which the gravel never loses respect. Now you can see how many objects can be in the gravel’s field of vision at the same time, interacting with each other. And all these activities can be taken care of by the CPU. And algorithms of this kind are completely absent in any game, as they affect almost any element of the gameplay. Let's say your character stands on the spot and does not. In the next hour, with the greatest number of minds remaining, your character will say one of many phrases, which will be selected from the new minds of the algorithm. And in whatever way different developers try to create their child, the most important will be systemic capabilities before downloading, and close to the processor. The visual warehouse of any game can be simply painted by simply creating more detailed models in pairs with clear and realistic lighting. Those who are hesitant to downgrade if they want to specifically enhance the new look. This can often be done with ported projects on the console, even if they are not affected by the highly productive filling. And in order for the game to look as realistic as possible, the creators of the add-ons have to put a lot of mathematical formulas into their projects. In order for you to understand how powerful the processor is in any game, I’ll point out another hundred-year-old butt. In modern games, NPCs are often referred to as such. NPCs are the characters who live under the Gravian forces, and who have programmed songs for each of their subordinates.

The axis in the screenshot of an NPC in the form of an elf and a cybul began to fight with another NPC in the form of an ancient wolf. The elf, when interacting with an NPC, stands in his place and begins shooting with a bow. When the enemy gets too close, he draws a dagger and fights in close combat. When the wolf tries to get closer to the witch, and if there is a gravel nearby, then we are in front of attacking the witcher. And as soon as the witcher rolls towards the sharp-toothed hut, the witch will immediately rush at the cross archer. It turns out that the basis of any interaction between the game and the gameplay mechanics is based on a lot of “how” and “that”. And all development options are handled by the processor. Add to this scheme a mathematical breakdown of the objects in detail, and you will gain incredible importance from the appearance of thousands of levels that are simultaneously unraveling. It turns out that the more capabilities the game has, the more intense the CPU needs.

Problems of physics

Based on the predictive mathematical structures of modern games, there are a large number of objects that are similar to the physics of the game engine. Incredibly, it differs from real physics for the simple reason that current processors do not have sufficient productivity for such complex structures. Judge for yourself, when in a car in a game you fall from the barriers, you fly down with a singing speed and a singing trajectory. Having dropped from the ground, the design of the car changes rapidly and after an accident, the car continues to roll without much gravity due to inertia. Everything is physics in Greece. And the more realistic it is, then, as you already guessed, a more productive stone is needed. In real life, the result of a similar situation lies in a large number of factors: the speed of the car to the bottom, the acceleration of the fall, the height of the break, the materials of the car, the thickness of the surface and much more. In reality, such kind of minds simply cannot be admired for such ideas, and it is impossible for them to create such a complex idea in the eyes of physics. It is easy to understand what obligations there are in reporting for the creation of such algorithms and how much effort will be required to ensure that everything is properly managed. Therefore, in the games of our time, the system of physical developments has been simplified.

P.S. In early 2009, the English-language magazine Game Developer, dedicated to the development of computer games, published an article about current game engines and their development. According to the magazine, the most popular among retailers is the nVidia PhysX engine, which accounts for 26.8% of the market. In another place is Havok, which accounts for 22.7% of the market. The third place goes to the Bullet Physics Library engine (10.3%), and the fourth place goes to the Open Dynamics Engine (4.1%).

As with classical mathematical developments, the processor, being a gigolo, does not support an additional video card and here, shifting part of its burden onto it. For example, the famous engine from the Nvidia company – PhysX, is expected to be adapted to accelerate physical degradation on graphics chips with CUDA architecture. But this does not mean that the CPU is less important, as you might have realized, there is really something to do with it, because our boys have a varied and rich task.

They seem to have talked about physics in games, following the understanding that the more objects in a game that are subject to the physical laws of the engine, which, as you already guessed, will require a more productive CPU. To see how strongly the importance of the game would increase, since all internal game objects have small behavioral features based on physics. Take, for example, the same richness of any fantastic landscape with open light, or so many beautiful landscapes of nature. Grass models often do not show any differences in interaction with too much light, mostly just a sound support when contacting the grass, written in the script. Since there is a dynamic change in the weather in the game, the grass still behaves the same, just not being blown by the wind, but this is not the result of an interaction with the weather minds, but simply a programmed behavior of the model. And before speaking, through the marriage of the calculation of the tightness of the climb, we also have very low-detailed 2D models of teapots that quiver. The same story and with the trimmings of the main characters, which look like a clearly hidden picture, are much worse.

What's the latest myth about how games don't require a powerful processor?

The legs of this myth appeared at the dawn of the game, when the games were much simpler and the developers paid more attention to the visual warehouse for the increased detail of objects. The rate of development of productivity of processors was significantly lower than that of video cards. The lights were suddenly empty, they had very few NPCs, and God forbid, a few replicas came to life only when the graver interacted with them. There were no such shadows at all; there were essentially darkened static textures. I started talking about physics, but I couldn’t speak about any ruination. And there are plenty of people who have started to think that the processor is a different component for gaming applications, and the axis of a high-performance graphics accelerator is simply a must have. However, in the current world, a large number of projects collapse without realism. Besides realism, I appreciate not only the beautiful, highly detailed shell. I’m talking about the different kinds of things that spoil the group with different things. The number of replicas of the characters, their possible interactions with each other, other objects and scenes that are randomly generated, realistic behavioral characteristics of NPCs and a lot more - all this adds up It’s on the shoulder of the CPU, which with skin disease needs to get tighter and tighter. Even if you put a shell on a single-barrel and simple world, you won’t be able to create a realistic world.

Why is a processor so important over a video card?

The main idea is the possibilities of game customization and customization. Gravtseva, as a rule, demonstrates a wide range of graphic warehouse management. What you get here is the richness of textures, shadows, relief, lightening, etc. And it’s important to get all the smells onto the video card. The ability to reduce demand on the CPU is often simply not available. Moreover, if you have a graphical shortcut that does not comply with the recommended system features, you can roll out the picture to the level at which the number of frames per second comes close to a comfortable experience for you. If you still have a weak processor, then you are practically guaranteed discomfort in the game through regular freezes. Therefore, I recommend buying a processor with a small supply and choosing the CPU + GPU connection for the first component. So, in some projects, there are possibilities such as changing the number of NPCs you have, or reducing the range of marked objects, and such adjustments are extremely rare, and therefore the processor, in my opinion, It’s more of a sweet-smelling, lower video card. Moreover, the desire to climb under the hour of play is not static. In particularly dynamic scenes with a lot of different parts and effects, you may find yourself 100% dependent on the processor, which will again have a negative impact on your experience. And the amount of FPS may be overpowering, but it does not interfere with the friezes, and even the CPU absorbs all the juices.

I hope that I have succeeded in developing the myth that the processor is absolutely important for gaming. As you know, you are busy with a great deal of work at a time when you are feeling satisfied and want to get rid of maximum stress during the gaming process, then do not underestimate this small, but important piece of silicon!

Don't just look around. It’s a good idea to start today’s article, as it will become another interesting message from our column “”, in which it is rare in the world, but still, research is carried out not on specific products, but on the interesting possibilities that such devices can bring.

The results of the tests clearly indicate that there is no need to install a powerful processor in a home gaming system.

We remember about three key devices on a personal computer that are necessary for every gamer: processor, RAM and video card. The infection of the world of IT is collapsing due to the reduction of stress and miniaturization of the PC, the protection of strained systems and productive games without affecting anyone yet. And also for skin enthusiasts collection rules competent machines can live for another hour.

Everyone knows that the key component of a PC that generates many frames per second in any game program is the video adapter. The thicker the wine, the greater the separation and detail of the picture that a painter can afford. Everything here is more or less simple.

Everything is also clear about the RAM, because its strength and frequency (maybe 100% of failures) do not affect the game fps. Gold standard Today - 8 GB, but we dare to remind you that 4 GB is completely enough to launch your favorite games.

Much more important in 2015 mother's birth more video mіzkiv(I axis here 4 GB is already not enough, especially for ).

І stop the heart of the system- a processor that has so much in it and means so much, but is still deprived of action dark a theme for graves.

Two, almost six cores; three, why is it still two and a half gigahertz? There is sufficient power supply to the CPU (and then there is still grief unlocking potential heavy video cards), and the axis of evidence in ZMI is not so rich, at all, that the stinks are not released as often as the profiteers demand.

Everyone knows that the key component of a PC that generates many frames per second in any game program is the video adapter.

What kind of processor is needed for daily games? Which video card should I choose for my new device? Whom we wanted to marry.

Participants of today's power supply Intel processors of various generations (fourth, fifth and sixth) became available. Why are there no devices from AMD? Because AMD itself is already practically absent. Guess when this risen company released productive desktop processors? We can guess what the 2011 release had, the Bulldozer architecture (AMD K11) at 32 nm. We expect AMD Zen () to be launched in 2016, but how can we trust obvious poor information? Let me tell you what time it is.

Well, we have three different processors, three different platforms and three different sockets (memory standards vary).

Keep in mind that Intel Core i3 processors with 4 MB of cache and Hyper-Threading technology are sufficient for all gaming programs.

However, we have one video card for all systems - the key aspect of today's testing, which compares all three platforms with each other, which gave the same result in the name. I can also collect the picture for all test games.

Separate screen space in addition - Full HD (perhaps still the most popular and standard format for displaying game images). Adjustment of graphics quality is maximum.

For the purity of the experiments, the skins from the processors should be disturbed in order to depict in more detail the influx of CPU power per subframe/s (or whatever the influx is). Although after the first results it became obvious that there was no way to disturb the senses, but it turned out that it was impossible.

The results of the tests clearly indicate that there is no need to install a powerful processor in a home gaming system. The type of additional physical cores does not have the same number of units, such as the clock frequency (which is a new multiplier for processors with the suffix “K” for the sound mark). The key factor, as before, is the video card.

As you know, one of the most difficult single-chip adapters in the system rosekriti go to Intel Core i5 original series. In fact, you can note that there is a difference in frame/s between the default processor and the six-core or four-core processor; the difference in all games and benchmarks does not exceed 15%. The culprit was the GTA V game (this line was once famous for its insane processing speed), but its 50-60 fps is enough for any gaming maniac. There are likely to be some people who will note the difference between 70 and 100 fps.

Keep in mind that Intel Core i3 processors with 4 MB of cache and Hyper-Threading technology are sufficient for all gaming programs. The situation clearly suggests a connection with two adapters, the cost of which is equal to one, or even more trivial speed, is actually not noticeable, then the hassle of adjusting the boats.

Games are not the same thing, but it is the complexity that is important, what is important here is the optimization and the idea of the distributors (as a rule, they try to target their products to a wider audience of backers, including those with weak systems).

If you are a gamer and still face the dilemma of choosing the right processor, do not rush to spend hundreds of dollars on the latest CPU (and especially with an unlocked multiplier). You'll be amazed at a more productive video card or functional motherboard. Such a purchase will be much more meaningful.

ASUS STRIX GTX 980 Ti in all versions

Hello friends! As you already know, all video cards have GPUs, or graphics processors. One of the key parameters when using the device is the frequency of the graphics processor, which is based on this characteristic, as I learned from today’s publication.

Nowadays you need a graphics processor

This part of the video card has an important role to play: it renders graphics, processing 2D and 3D objects and their interactions with each other, thereby forming images, which are then transmitted to the monitor display. Due to the architectural features of this chip, it is more efficient to produce graphics in tandem with the central processor, regardless of less effort.

Such a chip can be used as a stock video card, or integrated at the primary location of the motherboard, or as a logical block on the CPU. As a rule, the remaining two types are less suitable for rendering everyday tasks, but are less able to cope with rendering folding objects.

What does your frequency flow into?

The core clock frequency is the number of operations a graphics processor performs per second. As of today, this display has already exceeded gigahertz for the latest video cards.

What is the clock frequency, then more data can be processed by the graphics processor. This contributes not only to the number of FPS in games, but also to the number of primitives in rendered objects, but also on the graphics power.

Such displays were achieved due to a change in the technical process of the graphics chip, increasing the number of logical blocks on the same crystal surface. You can read the report about the video card technical process.

The two main competitors that produce graphics chips, Nvidia and AMD, are constantly competing for improvements in frequency characteristics.
Release a new top-end model, because technical parameters would like to outshine the competitors for a couple of months - this is more likely for prestige, not market demand.

In most countries, however, gamers can afford such a device.

You can increase the frequency and still work

There are a number of low-level programs that allow the graphics chip to be boosted, which increases its frequency characteristics (especially if the component supports such an option). You can upload it here:

  • ASUS GPU Tweak - works best with video cards of its own brand, giving users access to additional options;
  • MSI Afterburner is a universal utility that has everything to burn;
  • RivaTuner is a collection of all current programs for overclocking, on the basis of which all current products are created.

In addition to increasing the frequency of the graphics processor, these utilities can increase the memory frequency, regulate the fluidity of coolers, and much more. What does this give in practical terms? – can you spitati dear reader.

An increased clock frequency, as you might guess, allows you to increase the graphics brilliance and FPS in games using software, without having to buy a new video card.

Such a “militia” can be chosen as a timely decision, if you are not mentally mature enough to buy a new device, but you still want to play a new product, since the computer does not have to deal with system problems.

When you consider that the development of a video card requires a careful and thoughtful approach - as soon as you move to higher frequencies and “blowout data” more, the lower video card can actually be physically removed , the graphics driver will need to be restarted, which means that the game or video editor is running before launching.

It is even easier to repair a device in this way, through the transfer of programs by “protection from foolishness”. However, I also want to point out that especially hardcore overclocking fans still manage to burn out the video card, giving it increased attention and reducing the number of cooler wraps to a minimum.
As a recommendation, I recommend using the Asus PCI-Ex GeForce GTX 1060 Dual 3GB (DUAL-GTX1060-O3G) video card, which will allow you to run all your daily games on pleasant graphics settings.

Unfortunately, such a product is more suitable for mining, even though it costs less than an AMD tank. Well, here it’s already like this: why cheat in the game, or mine crypto, or what’s wrong?

The publications “ ” and “ ?” may be the worst ones. And today I have everything.

Until new news on the pages of my blog, dear friends! Don't forget to share this article on social media and the new newsletter.
