You can swim in the salons. Beach resort near the salons, Greece. What to say about the place

Thessaloniki is called the ancient capital of Greece, and it is entirely deserved. The place is ancient, great, and a significant competitor to Athens both for the number of architectural monuments and for the number of tourists.

The hostile old place, the magnificent port, the exquisite seaside part, the Malovnika embankment, the green boulevards - here you just want to get drunk right away. If you remember about the magnificent water park and adventure park, then the children will have to get ready to go on the road.

And calling Thessaloniki a resort would be difficult. For beach drinks, you need to go to the countryside or to the outskirts of Chalkidiki, a popular place for family holidays. Fortunately, going there is quite easy: the road to the nearest beaches takes half a year, and to Chalkides – a year and a half.

How to plan a trip with children in Thessaloniki So that you don’t have to sacrifice either excursions or beaches? All useful information is in the eyes of Kidpasazhu.

Thessaloniki on the map of Greece

The city of Thessaloniki or Thessaloniki is another great city in Greece, the administrative center of the periphery of Central Macedonia, a great port and a popular place among tourists.

Roztashovaniy near the downland part of Greece, on the birch of the Thermaikos inlet in the Aegean Sea. The distance from Thessaloniki to Athens is 500 km, to the main resorts of the Chalkidian Peninsula: Nea Moudania - 57 km, Kallithea - 78 km, Pevkochori - 99 km, Agios Nikolaos and Vourvourou - 107 km, Neos Marmaras - 118 km, Ouranoupolis.

The place is about 2.5 thousand years old. Even before this, in the places where Thessaloniki is located, there were small settlements.

It is important that the king of ancient Macedonia, Cassander, united the town and named the new place in honor of his friend – Thessalonica. Later, the Greek form Selonik and Slovyanska – Thessaloniki was used as a substitute for this name.

Retirement with children

Why should you come to Thessaloniki with children? The answer is simple: behind the ancient story. Beaches, sea, sun - everything is more or less the same in all resorts, and the axis of the ancient agora, Byzantine churches and the Turkish fortress are unique and not without reason taken under the protection of UNESCO.

It is impossible to convey the joy of history from the sun-warmed ancient road, from the cold darkness of the middle-century basilica, from the way the watchmen on the windows look out into the sea until their eyes ripen. In Thessaloniki it is not dry words, but reality that can be experienced.

The excursion program in Thessaloniki is large - perhaps only to look at the city's monuments this day.

Well, after running around the museums, it is reasonable to choose with your child at the beach resorts on the outskirts of Thessaloniki or on.

It is necessary to fly in on the streets of Moscow in a quiet and calm manner, so that living there can be called a quid pro quo - for peace and tranquility you need to go to the sea.

It seems that you can get to Thessaloniki by passing an hour on the way to Chalkidiki. This is not entirely true: the KTEL Halkidiki bus station is located at the entrance to the city, and buses do not stop at Thessaloniki on the way to the sea. Therefore, repairs in Thessaloniki need to be planned in the same way as repairs on the beaches.

One of the shortcomings in Thessaloniki - for children there is not so much fun here. Because there is no water park, amusement park, or many playgrounds, dads have to improvise in search of something to do with their children.

Another shortcoming is the lack of a place to recover from uncatching. There are signs of the summer air, noise, and faceless steep streets that make it difficult to move around with a stroller.

While the child is small, it is better to share a beach outfit with small minds.

If it's better to go

The high season in Thessaloniki continues for a long time. As soon as the winter rains end (and at the end of the winter season), the place, first of all, burns up the entire tourist infrastructure.

The largest number of mandrels flow into the place of entry, and this means the least time to travel with the baby. The place is already quiet, the prices for living are maximum, and the heat of the table is unbearable, so there is no time for excursions.

Children must be brought in until the end of the season in Thessaloniki, either in summer or spring, when the flow of tourists begins.

The first half of autumn is probably the best time for a trip. Clear, dry weather is good for small walks and finally on the beach.

At spring you can spend a couple of days in Thessaloniki, and then spend a week or two on the coast of Chalkidiki. In the evening, as well as in the spring, it may be a little chilly at sea, but the weather is ideal for excursions.

Be aware of the best way to get to Thessaloniki, using the program of festivals and saints. Golovne is sacred for the townspeople - St. Dmitry Solunsky, which signifies the 26th anniversary.

It’s a good idea to take a look at the city’s tourism website to learn about the cultural and sports activities of Thessaloniki.

Weather and climate

The climate of Thessaloniki - the most famous resort in Greece - differs little from the climate of the modern resorts of the region. It’s just as long a summer here as in Crete, even though Heraklion and Thessaloniki are hundreds of kilometers away.

The holiday season in Thessaloniki begins in mid-spring.

The air temperature in the room is around +20 ° C, sometimes rising to +28 ° C or dropping to +15 ° C. The average temperature is +24 ° C, although this month there may be cold or special and days.

If you are planning to go to the grass in Thessaloniki, be sure to take a parasol with you: This is a rainy month on the river.

It becomes the norm in the black speck. The weather warms up to +29 ° C, and until the night on the street it is fresh up to +18 ° C. Specka does not grow so much in the low humidity of the day, and yet it is better to come with the baby in the first half month, when the baked goods accumulate wrappers .

The sticky and sickly place melts into agglomeration. Already the thermometer shows +30 ° C, before noon the people reach the mark +35-40 ° C.

It’s not possible to fly in, and you can only get out of the sand in parks and air-conditioned areas. The place seems to be dying: the annoying tourists themselves are asking for better control of the season.

To understand what is the best way to get started in Thessaloniki with children, let’s look forward to spring.

Until the middle of the month, the temperature drops to +27 ° C, you can go for walks and go on excursions. Sometimes you can blow a board, which is accepted as a gift.

It will be colder until the afternoon, but the weather will no longer be clear. The average temperature in the summer is +20 ° C, and autumn enjoys the same summer days every hour. For those who are unable to travel to Thessaloniki, you are kindly welcomed by yourself when the heat subsides and the resort is empty.

As the leaves fall near Thessaloniki, the planks begin to fall. The winter temperature drops to +15 ° C, and in the winter to +8-10 ° C. The cloudy, gray weather lasts until the end of the winter, and then the place clears up and immediately becomes warm, green and inviting.

Sea water temperature

If you prefer to drink in a place on the sea coast, the hot weather means you only have one thing to do - drink some refreshing water. To the great joy of those who miss the sea, the swimming season in Thessaloniki is already starting on the grass.

Of course, the sea temperature at the end of spring is still quite warm, around +20-21 ° C. Even in the Black Sea it warms up to +23-24 ° C, and in the Lime-Serpna to +26-27 ° C.

With the onset of autumn, the water temperature in Thessaloniki does not change much. At the beginning of spring the sea is much warmer, close to +25°, and before midday the water reaches +23°C.

As a rule, you can still swim until mid-autumn and then the sea temperature drops to +20-21°C.

tavern

Hotels in Thessaloniki may not include food in the room, but sometimes include food. This is a good chance to try the traditional walnut cuisine - khoryatiki salad, dolmadakya, avgolemono, moussaka.

Traditional taverns moved towards the center of the place. In the center you can find Greek fast food: kebabs souvlaki and gyros. The tourist part of Thessaloniki has restaurants serving European and Asian cuisine, pizzerias, confectioneries, and seafood restaurants.

For groceries you can go to supermarkets or markets. The largest market in Thessaloniki – Mondiano – is sold in the center of the city. In the summer and spring, the shelves are bursting with a large quantity of vegetables, fruits, cheeses, honey, fish and seafood. It is certain that all the goods there are from Greek production.

Please note that markets, shops and all the great supermarkets do not work for a week or so.

Transport

Those who have read that Thessaloniki is a million-dollar city, another great place in Greece, are attracted by the modest public transport system.

Thus, the vast transport system in Thessaloniki consists of buses that operate on dozens of routes. You can take local buses to the airport, as well as to nearby suburbs.

Among the highest routes for tourists is No. 50, or “Cultural Route”. The price of 50 coins covers all the major landmarks of Thessaloniki.

The bus schedule is on the website of the Municipal Transport Organization of Thessaloniki. The rukhu schedule changes depending on the season.

The cost of one trip on local buses is 1 euro. Two trips of 70 miles cost 1.20 euros, three trips of 90 miles cost 1.50 euros, and trips of 150 miles cost 2 euros. Whether tickets for children up to 18 years of age are priced twice as cheap, or tickets for adults.

Special price for travel on buses No. 50, 78 and 78N. A voucher for adults costs 2 euros, a voucher for children up to 18 years old costs 1 euro.

By public transport in Thessaloniki you can also take sea trams. The stinks are transported to the clean Zamiska beaches, in Perea, Nei Epivates and Agia Triada. You can also go by sea to Kalamaria, a beautiful little place near Thessaloniki.

To travel to Thessaloniki, hand-carry bicycles. Automated rental points are located throughout the center and you can rent adult and children's bicycles, as well as family bicycles for 2 or 4 people. The rental fee is 5 euros per day, depending on the type of bicycle.

You can find taxis in Thessaloniki at the parking lots by looking for a dark blue car with a white tail, or by calling by phone. A taxi ride from the airport to the city costs 18-25 euros, from Zaliznichny station to the center - 5-7 euros. Payment is charged to the doctor.

How can you rent a car within an hour for repairs in Thessaloniki? If you plan to spend a couple of days in a place and not go anywhere, it’s better to get by with a taxi or large transport.

Getting around in a car is not easy: the streets are narrow, often with one-way traffic. Parking in Thessaloniki is plentiful, but there are many fees, prices start at 2.5 euros per year.

It’s impossible to spot anything more imaginative, less than a speculative summer in a wonderful seaside place and, lurking along the embankment, just licking your lips on the sea, like the whale Matroskin... It’s impossible to believe in those who are salty , which plays on the sun, is not pure enough to accept the weary dream. ! Unfortunately, it’s like this: the beaches in Thessaloniki are deprived of much beauty! Even though forty years ago, the bathing area in the very center of the place had not yet been fenced off. And still, don’t worry: without a bath you won’t be deprived! To get lost in the Egean Sea, you will need a bus ticket and 40 hours of travel time up to 1 year.

Nearest beaches

For those who are more expensive in ancient Greece, you should know that the closest beaches to Thessaloniki are located in the region of Chalkidiki. It’s not the only place where the sea and the sun lounger are waiting for you. Most local residents, who expect to spend at least pennies and an hour on bathing, go on trips to less prestigious places and festivals, but there are more accessible beaches on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, located in Egypt, and gіa Triada ta Mikhanyona. You can get there as a special person, and...

Buses to the most famous beaches will match the status and price to the highest prices and will start from the IKEA Shuttle Bus Station. No. 69 will take you to Epanomi, No. 76 will take you to Agia Triada, and No. 72 will take you to Michanyon. These buses are long-distance, so they don’t go often. To avoid delays, find out the schedule ahead of time.

The main advantage of the nearby beaches, in addition to their rapid accessibility, is the large number of people, the variety of cafes and bars (especially Agia Triada) and the peaceful landscape. The stench is wonderfully suitable for those who do not have large reserves of pennies at any given time, but who really want to squander a beach snack.

Chalkidiki is not the only place on the outskirts of Thessaloniki that is famous for its beautiful beaches

Remote beaches

Well, just take it and put it down! - If you want to enjoy the blue-colored sea, the green hills and sea taverns, then don’t imagine yourself being satisfied and early on the beaches of the village of Chalkidiki!

We will immediately need you to go to the bus station called KTEL Chalkidikis. Take buses No. 45A and No. 45B to get there. Respect: this is express, it is not even a skin tag that passes through. In the center of the city it is easier to take pictures on the street. Egnatia, a hill called "Camara" (opposite the Roman Arc de Triomphe).

Arriving at the bus station, you call the name of your favorite beach (I recommend the place on the first finger of the island - Nea Fokia, Afitos, Kallithea, Kriopigi, on the other finger - Psakoudia, Metamorphosi, Neos Marmaras), then m pay pennies (from 6 to 1 and then take away the ticket.

The receipt shows the hour of your departure and the number of the place, not the bus number! So, be careful: before boarding, give your ticket to the driver or driver and check with the driver ten times that you are boarding the correct bus. These regular buses depart every year, so it will be completely impossible to know about their return departure time! You can try to contact the controller, or you can just look here.

An hour from the KTEL station Chalkidikis to the Chalkidiki Peninsula takes 1 to 2.5 years.

Having washed up in the beach bar, you will take away the sun lounger from the unlimited bar without catage.

All organized beaches in Chalkidiki are equipped with beach bars - to the great joy of everyone. Soon after you like your lounger and mark it with a towel, a waiter will come to you and ask you what you want. Take care, having washed yourself in the beach bar, you will take away the sunbed from the unlimited barn without any catastrophe!

If you choose to spare the deal, you definitely won’t win, because in this case you will have nothing to drink, and “for fasting” you will be charged the very same pennies. As an option, you can take the example from the Greeks and try the best drink for a hot summer day - cold cava frappe.

Walk like that! If you have already gone through such a journey and arrived in Chalkidiki, enjoy maximum satisfaction! After shopping, sit down to dine in the tavern, whatever you deserve - meat or fish, whichever suits you best. A table near the shade of a tree, quiet walnut music, a paper tablecloth and a large plate of walnut salad... We can happily say that it’s been a long day!

Take care: the weekend is fresh for everyone, and the local worker, who has been a horde all day, is also dreaming about sea and dormouse baths. Because there is such potential! - Don’t hang out on the beach during the weekend. It takes twice as long to travel, and you consume much less time.

Remember: there can only be two more days than a day spent at sea! For those who don’t want to drive away from the beach until death, look around for the RENT ROOMS sign - “rooms for rent”, fortunately, you won’t have to look around for long. It's inexpensive (about 30 euros), and you'll be able to spend the sunset at sea or stay in the world - depending on your mood.

Important places of Thessaloniki: what to marvel at

Thessaloniki can be called the cultural capital of Greece. There are a lot of important monuments here.

You can start getting to know Thessaloniki from the promenade, from where you can see the top of Mount Olympus and enjoy the falcon views of the Thermaikos inlet.

Bila Vezha near the embankment is a symbol of the place. This was prompted by the Turks to create a sporuda - part of the fortification muru, and today the vezha has become a museum.

The Church of Hagia Sophia was built over a thousand years ago and was the main temple of Thessaloniki, then it was turned into a mosque, and finally one of the most important Christian cathedrals in Greece. I would especially like to paint the miracle wall mosaic of the church.

Basilica of St. Demetrius is a cult sporud of Thessaloniki, built at the death house of St. Demetrius. The temple is being restored after being destroyed after a fire. The main relics of the basilica are the shrine with the relics of St. Demetrius and the icons that were preserved after the fire. Also worthy of esteem are the Church of Mikoli Orfanskogo with its very beautiful frescoes, the Church of the Holy Apostles, the Church of Saint Panteleimon, the viconan near the cross, the early Christian basilica of Achiropitos, founded in the middle of the 5th century.

Some of the oldest disputes of Thessaloniki are the Triumphal Arch and the Rotunda Church - parts of the palace of Emperor Galerius.

Thessaloniki will soon host the International Film Festival, as well as the International Trade Fair.

Indeed, the great university in Thessaloniki has a lot of students, which cannot help but add color to the color of the place - even modern and youthful.

While there are souvenirs and gifts, there are a lot of them in the center of the place and next to the main monuments, but there are a lot of prices there, for example, on Bezestenya Street. Consider bringing from Thessaloniki ceramics, vases, antique-style dishes, copper bowls, linen tablecloths and serverets with Greek ornaments and, especially, malt and honey with orange and lemon.

Beaches of Thessaloniki

The beaches in between are unattractive for local residents, the water here is rough, so it’s better to go to the coastal regions, for example, on the beaches of Perea, Epanomi, Agia Triada. You can get to them by buses from a long distance away, but you need to check in advance, because the smell doesn’t come around very often.

Perei Beach is located 17 km from Thessaloniki. The purest water and soft sand are visible in this place. There are parasols and sunbeds, a children's playground, you can play volleyball, sit in bars and restaurants, and at night you can have parties on the Perey beach.

At the center of the Epanomi beach, near the village of the same name, there is a ship that has sunk, which is quite unexpected and attractive for tourists. The beach is great, with clean sand and everything you need for a healthy meal.

Agia Triada - a beach 22 km from Thessaloniki with a tennis court, volleyball courts, a children's playground and, especially, sun loungers and parasols.

Sunbeds on the beaches are paid, but you can make arrangements at the bar on the beach and get a sunbed free of charge. Variety, for example, kava (plus a water dance as a bonus) - just like a sun lounger, it’s better to take off the kava, and the sun lounger, or even just the sun lounger.
