How to uninstall a mod: instructions

Before adding to the game, you need to know that mods without an installer (which are uploaded into the game by the "Copy → Paste" operation) must be copied to the "res_mods" folder, and not to "res" or "res_bw". Therefore, to remove all mods, follow these instructions:

1. Close the game.
2. Open the game folder.

When installing this version, two assembly components are displayed in the software list (i.e., two almost identical names in the list):

1. The main application without a signature in the "Publisher" column (668 MB). Removed by the above method.

2. Additional - signed by the publisher "wotsite.net" (142 Mb). When you try to remove it by standard means, an error appears and a proposal to remove it from the list. Agree with these actions: click "Yes".

When finished, add the Jove Mods and WOT Scopes to your trash can. They are not associated with executable files and only perform a quick browser launch with the given pages of the wotsite resource.

Method number 3: uninstaller programs

Below is a step-by-step instruction for uninstalling a modpack using the Soft Organizer utility. But in the absence of such, you can use other applications with similar functions. For example, CCleaner, RevoUnstaller, UninstallTool, etc.

1. In the Soft Organizer window, in the "Program" panel, select "Jove`s Mod Pack ..." by clicking the mouse.

2. Click the "Remove a program" button located just above the list.

3. Confirm the deletion of the specified items. In the Uninstall window select Yes.

4. Click Find to start scanning the remaining items.

5. Perform cleaning by clicking the appropriate option in the interface.

Method number 4: "from scratch"

If there are a lot of installed mods, new versions are installed over old ones, etc., then it is more advisable to completely remove the client, including all its directories, registry entries and, accordingly, modifications. It is also better to perform this procedure using special utilities (Soft Organizer, RevoUninstaller). Since standard tools do not always perform cleaning effectively.

After neutralizing the WoT elements, it is advisable to clean up the OS with applications such as CCleaner and Reg Organizer. And only then proceed with the installation of the World of Tanks client and all additional modpacks.

If you quite often experiment with modifications: disconnect old ones, "fasten" new ones, through patches or make any changes to them or directly to the client, keep the game installer and proven mods (100% working) always at hand.
