We're robbing subtitles. An easy way to remove subtitles A program for removing subtitles for DVDs

If you have a DVD of a foreign film that you need to add subtitles (especially to my original), then the same version of the subtitles is not yet available on many sites with subtitles, so you can finish Swedish way Extract subtitles from a DVD and save them on your hard drive to create 2 compact files: one with idx extensions (50-100 kilobytes in size), the other with sub extensions (1 to 20 megabytes in size). A couple of files - one and the other - subtitles in the vobsub graphic format. A cost-free program that allows you to earn money is called approximately 400 kilobytes. This program works very fast - it costs about 10 minutes to extract subtitles from one DVD disc (if you have all the files of the DVD on your hard drive, it’s even less - about 5 minutes).

How to work with the program VSRip? We launch the program. Press the "Load IFO..." button. Select a DVD disc (or a folder on your hard drive where you copied the DVD), go to the “VIDEO_TS” folder, select a file with the “IFO” extension, and place numbers next to the name. Moreover, the name of the file can be compared with the name of the file with the extension “VOB”, which is the movie (namely the largest VOB file). Most often this IFO file is called "VTS_01_0.IFO" (in the table below there are fat font).

file name file size
VIDEO_TS.BUP 12 288 DVD menu
VIDEO_TS.IFO 12 288
VIDEO_TS.VOB 12 171 264
VTS_01_0.BUP 55 296 Rozdil 01
VTS_01_0.IFO 55 296
VTS_01_0.VOB 226 873 344
VTS_01_1.VOB 1 073 739 776
VTS_01_2.VOB 1 073 739 776
VTS_01_3.VOB 1 073 739 776
VTS_01_4.VOB 1 073 739 776
VTS_01_5.VOB 495 568 896
VTS_02_0.BUP 24 576 Rozdil 02
VTS_02_0.IFO 24 576
VTS_02_1.VOB 1 073 739 776
VTS_02_2.VOB 817 969 152

Click on the “Save To...” button, and then select a location on the hard drive where the 2 files (idx and sub) will be saved, and what they will be called. Press the “Next” button below. The "Extraction settings" menu will appear. In the "Languages" section, we select the movies that we want to save (or rather, select all the movies - who knows, maybe your subtitles will then be needed by someone who loves mine). Click on the “Next” button and wait patiently until the program extracts subtitles from the DVD, which will tell you the message “Done!”

For some DVD discs (especially TV series and long-running cartoons) in the "Extraction settings" menu you need to select elements ("Program Chains" section) from different parts of one section - PGC1, PGC2, etc. - Otherwise, it is impossible to remove all subtitles. In one “pass” the program removes subtitles from only one part (for example, PGC1).

2. Implementation of subtitles inserted into video streams (“closed captioning”, “closed captions”)

Program VSRip I want to have the option to extract this type of subtitles (the "Extract closed caption" checkbox in the "Extraction setting" window), but if I use them with permissions, I often miss a lot of rows, and then I'll always have to code them (letters with diacritics transformed into nutritional signs, etc.). This is another program that miraculously copes with these tasks. How to make use of it? We install it, install it and launch it. In the near future we will Windows Explorer, and in it you will find your DVD disc (or a folder on your hard drive where all DVD discs are copied). In the explorer, we go to the VIDEO_TS directory, and there we find files with the “VOB” extensions, which take up the most space (in the table, most notably, the VIDEO_TS directory contains video files kidnap font). One file at a time, we drag them with the program CCextractor"input files" (through the files "VTS_01_1.VOB", "VTS_01_2.VOB", "VTS_01_3.VOB", "VTS_01_4.VOB", "VTS_01_5.VOB"). In the "Output file" row, enter bashans I have file, for example "matrix.srt". Press the "Start" button at the bottom. The process of pishov!

If you have extracted subtitles in graphic format from a DVD, which no one else has, please share them!

- Ready SRT script with translation
- Russian sound track (for the day)
– I have a lot of space on my hard drive.

P.S. I won’t explain how to extract the SRT script and the Russian audio track, but I will respect that if your script is in any other format, then speed up with the usual converters.

CROC 1. Copies a DVD disc to a hard drive.

For further help program DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 rewrites the disk to your hard drive in the C:\Rip directory.

Launch DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15
- At the top menu press the Open Disc button
- At the end of what appears, select the appropriate drive and press OK.

- The top menu has a Backup button embossed!
-Select directory C: Rip and check for completion of the process.

The result of the C:\Rip directory will be the following files (the result may be different, since the structure of all disks is different):

VIDEO_TS.BUP – Yes for all DVDs
VIDEO_TS.IFO - Presence on all DVDs
VIDEO_TS.VOB – Set presence on all DVDs (This file has information about the menu and copy all videos).

The main track from the film is located in the following files:
VTS_01_0.BUP - Reserved
VTS_01_0.IFO - Information
VTS_01_0.VOB – File to contain the menu associated with this video track.
Next comes the compilation of the track with the film, audio tracks to new and subtitles. Files can be different depending on the size of the track, because 1 VOB file cannot transfer 1 GB.

VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
...
VTS_01_XX.VOB

In addition to everything, there will be additional files available for download (depending on the presence of bonuses (EXTRAS) on the DVD disc):

VTS_02_2.VOB

VTS_02_XX.VOB
...
VTS_YY_1.VOB
VTS_YY_2.VOB
...
VTS_YY_XX.VOB

CROC 2. Unpackable VOB (DEMUX).

Now we need to unzip the VOB files with the track we need (called DEMUX).
For this purpose we use the VobEdit 0.6 program.

Let's create directory D: Demux

Hello, drive D: may be in NTFS format, because... m2v file (video track) will be larger than 4 GB.

Launching VobEdit 0.6
- Press the Open button and open the file C:\Rip\VTS_01_1.VOB
- Press the Demux button.
- Check the boxes for Demux all Video streams and Demux all Audio streams, and if you want to save subtitles with other languages, then Demux all Subp streams.
- Onslaught OK.
- Select directory D: Demux
- We check for completion.
- Apparently

Now we have the files:
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.m2v
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.80.ac3

KROK 3. Information about the chapters.

The IFO file also stores information about the layout of sections. With the help of a remote control or program function, DVD playback we can use the disc at any time. A menu is also closely linked to the sections, so if you can’t create anything, you may not even use it (Chapters Menu).

Launching IFOEdit 0.971
- At the top window click VTS_PGCITI.
- VTS_PGC_1 appears, we are pressing on him.
- Scroll down to the bottom until we touch “PGC Command Table:”, stamp on it.
- Idemo in the head menu: "Tools/Save Celltimes to file"
- Save the file CellTimes.txt from D:\Demux

Now we have the files:
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.m2v
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.80.ac3
D:\Demux\CellTimes.txt
I, as subtitles were defined, *.sup files

KROK 4. Convertible subtitles.

Now it is necessary to convert the subtitles in the SRT format to the subtitles in the DVD format - SUP. Subtitles for DVDs are usually a set of pictures.
For whom the speedy program Srt2Sup a4.03

We launch Srt2Sup a4.03.
- Select SRT File/Open as text from the main menu
– Select our SRT file.
- The “adjust times” area will appear in the dialog box. Subtitle timing can be set to "0", otherwise subtitle timing is not consistent with the DVD track, then you need to experiment with this parameter.
- Printed OK.
- Right-handed, the ALL button is embossed on the bottom
- Now embossed "Alter Subtitle Layout"
- Emboss the Global button
- Customized colors:
Backgnd - Background color (Choose a color carefully, so as not to avoid using other colors) and don’t forget to check the box for Trans (for the word Transparent).

Text – Color the text.
Antialias – Color smoothing.
We also select the font we need, the size and position of the subtitles on the screen.
- Type OK and then Close.
- The main menu is embossed Settings/IFO Colors
- In the lower window you can see information about our colors in HEX format. We write them down on a piece of paper. It looks something like this:
Color 0 Y Cr CB – 81 239 90
Color 1 Y Cr CB - 16128128
Color 2 Y Cr CB - 235 128 128
Color 3 Y Cr CB - 16128128

We will need numbers that are in square arms, and up to any color, for example, up to Color 0.

Now select SUP File/Save from the main menu.
- Saved as D: Demux VTS_01_1.20.sup.

Now we have the files:
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.m2v
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.80.ac3
D:\Demux\CellTimes.txt
I, if you mean subtitles, *.sup files
D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.20.sup

CROC 5. Let's take VOB back.

Now we are compiling back a VOB file from our uncollected materials.
For this purpose we use the IFOEdit 0.971 program.

On drive C: create directory C:\Full
- Launching IFOEdit 0.971.
- Select DVD Author/Author New DVD from the main menu.
- At the top right part there is a button with a dot, after which we select our file from the video D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.m2v.
- Next, similarly, connect the audio tracks (the original D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.80.ac3+ can be Russian or any other), do not forget to insert the language for them. For whom the sound track and content are visible, the menu with the choice of mov will become active.
- Subtitles are connected in the same way:
Original *.sup and our subtitles D:\Demux\VTS_01_1.20.sup.
- In the remaining field, select our file with divisions marked D:\Demux\CellTimes.txt
- Way for compilation, naturally C: Full
- Tisnemo OK
- The process is clearly complete, then Close
- At the top window there is a double click on VTS_01_0.IFO.
- Then click on VTS_PGCITI.
- Then select VTS_PGC_1.
- Look at the bottom window in the row “Color 0 Y Cr Cb”
- Embossed with double clacks and, in particular, a window like “00000000 00 00 00...”.
- Replacement 00 00 00 is specified as a HEX color code, deleting from Kroku 4.
- Similar to Color 1, 2, 3.
- Add a stamp to the Tools/Merge Menu tables menu.
- From the window that appears, select the file C:\Rip\ VTS_01_0.IFO
- SAVE is embossed at the bottom and Yes is in the window.

CROC 6. Completion is complete.

The files VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP are located in the directory C:\Full.
- From directory C:\Rip to directory C:\Full we copy the following files:
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.VOB (Yaksho є)
Next is the file VTS_01_0.VOB (and just like that)
Further files:
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB

VTS_02_XX.VOB
...
VTS_YY_1.VOB
VTS_YY_2.VOB
...
VTS_YY_XX.VOB

Where XX and YY are numbers.

Now the C:\Rip directory can be deleted, and in the C:\Full directory there is a ready-made project.

Please, do not copy the following files to C:\Full from C:\Rip:

VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
...
VTS_01_XX.VOB

De XX, which is the number.

KROK 6. Epilogue.

First of all, I want to say a big thank you to Eric Phan-Kim, as discussed on the Digital Video Forums (http://forum.digital-digest.com).
The article described the technology of adding subtitles to a DVD disc, as well as menu options, bonuses, etc.
With salt and grease, it was possible to remove the finished product from the look of one track of the film, which naturally does not look very aesthetically pleasing.
I also came across this problem while working on the translation of the anime, and thus this article was revised.
I hope that the article was a report and everything has become clear to you.

If you have any ideas to complement this article, write to me ( ditmar inbox.ru)
Stat version: 1.05

1. Open tsMuxerGUI.exe and put a checkmark in the "Demux" panel
We press “add” and open the file with the movie - select the largest file by size, and it will be located in the folder “/Movie Name/BDMV/STREAM/”. You can simply drag this file from the end of the program

We open the file that way

We uncheck the audio tracks and subtitles that we do not need
Select the folder where to put the subtitles

"Start demuxing" stamp

After the operation is completed, the selected folder will have a ".sup" file.

File processing *SUP

Open SupRip.exe, press the Open key and select the required sup file

Make sure you check the Automatically continue with next Subtitle checkbox and click OCR.
The program scans the text and if it cannot recognize a symbol or letter, ask you to enter it.

If the program was unable to recognize the letters, we will ask you to recruit them yourself. All you need is to wrap what is shown in the picture (in this case “rb”).
The green frame contains recognized letters/symbols, the yellow frame contains those that you need to inscribe. The current unrecognized letters are circled in red. In this case, after rb you will need to type ri and so on.
Just as you have created the letter, press it again on the OCR
For everything there are 15-20 hvilins.
Press the "SRT" button when finished, then save (Save button) the content in the ".SRT" format

RIP subtitles from DVD

Subtitles come in both “subtitles” and “closed captions”.
These fragments differ in essence and speech technology, so they are perceived from films in different ways. Original (closed) subtitles are nothing more than a set of pictures that are superimposed on an overlay based on the image. And the process of creating such subtitles is reduced to a banal OCR recognition of scanned text. You can't do these tricks with Closed Captions. The smell is not about pictures with text, but rather about the video stream. Vzagali Closed Captions are intended for re-watching films that are on TV for deaf people. Є special features for TVs that allow you to display all the admixtures in the video signal. What's on the box DVD disc cost CC
There are subtitles on the disc itself. You can admire them with the help of Power DVD XP. Closed Captions work in a particularly cunning way, which will be discussed below. So, in order:

SubRip"Vіdkriti" subtitles (Subtitles)

To get started, you need to transfer all your movie files to hard drive. At the same time, you need to transfer the ifo file to your hard drive in order to connect to all of them. I recommend that you hurry up to transfer it. You will immediately see movie files and an ifo file when you start it. That's why you need the SubRip program. Once you see the subtitles, you can thoroughly understand them. old version Yakka sank into my chubby paws - SubRip v1.17.1. Pratsuє is my favorite. There may have been some glitches associated with the appearance of subtitles written with a cover (read the text of a character invisible on the screen).

We launch the program.

- When you click on this picture, a menu for selecting files and settings appears.

- Press the Open IFO button and select the IFO file, transferring it to the hard drive along with the files.

- Clear the window from subtitles. Axis, power, and that’s it. As a result, you output subtitles in the required format. In principle, they can also be converted from format to format.

VobSub

What do you need to know about SubRip, MicroDVD, SubStation Alpha subtitles? Enough has already been written about these formats, both about vikoristration and about converting. It’s not surprising that the *.IDX file together with the *.SUB file is amazingly rich. Let's try to figure out what we need to eat. :)

Jerel for ripping IDX, SUB and DVD files. If you look at the disk, you can find some files *.IFO, *.BUP, *.VOB. The DVD format is divided in such a way that all information - audio, video, animated menus, and subtitles is saved in these files.

To create, edit or convert a set of IDX+SUB subtitles, we need the VobSub package, which is included in the Matroska Pack, which can also be taken from the K-Lite Codeck Pack, or you can also download the stars. The package is distributed under the GPL license, so there are no problems.

After installing VobSub, a list of utilities appears:
DirectVobSub Configure.lnk - setting up the VobSub filter
submux.exe - a program for “folding” avi files
subresync.exe - subtitle conversion
VobSub Configure.lnk - downloading subtitles from DVD and creating IDX+SUB
VobSub Cutter.lnk – allows you to cut IDX+SUB subtitles into pieces
VobSub Joiner.lnk - merges IDX+SUB subtitles

Creation of subtitles IDX+SUB.

Let's launch VobSub Configure. Don’t boast about the great magnitude of the adjustment, we don’t need the stench now.

Click the “Open” button and go to the VIDEO_TS directory of the DVD disc.

Select file type "Ifo and Vobs, for creating idx/sub (*.ifo)"

Now you will be able to find the necessary *.IFO file, which includes subtitles. Open the file VTS_01_0.IFO. You will be asked to specify a location where to place the downloaded subtitles from the DVD. For example, vibemo disk F:

Most importantly, the first IFO will not show subtitles. About this, the list is empty and the “OK” button is inactive, circled in red.

Close at the end and try to open the current file, so as not to waste the documents on the subtitles. In our case, stench appeared in the file VTS_06_0.IFO

As you know, the disc includes subtitles in English, French and Spanish. Select the required languages by clicking on the target. If you need to click on the mouse, click on the mouse while pressing the Ctrl key on the keyboard. Click the "OK" button.

The program simply extracts subtitles from the disc and displays an indicator during the process.

Once the work is completed, the following will be shown at the end:

The selected location will have two subtitle files: VTS_06_0.idx and VTS_06_0.sub. The file size is significantly larger, smaller than for basic text subtitles, which is not surprising, some Danish format remove the image. In addition, a few files can fit in the middle of the files, and you do not need to install different fonts in order to display them correctly - one picture at a time.

Converting IDX+SUB subtitles to *.SRT format (SubRip)

The SubRip program version 1.17 uses the IDX+SUB format, but we don’t find any easy routes that are suitable for the VobSub utility.

Let's launch the Subresync program, which is located in the directory where VobSub is installed.

Click the Open... button and open the *.IDX file.

Since everything is ready with subtitles, the buttons will become active, a list of available movies will appear, and a large number of numbers will appear (hours of subtitles).

If you are interested, you can switch to Spanish and watch subtitles. The subtitle text is displayed at the bottom of the window.

When you are ready, go back to the English language and press the Save As... button. Finally, you will see which file name and format you have chosen (Subripper). To eliminate problems, better uncheck the “Unicode output” box and check “Clear image->letter(s) database”.

Now let's learn the program to recognize the text. For this you need to enter the characters required. Don’t cry, it’s not easy, and the work isn’t so rich.

For example, here you need to enter the square arm from the keyboard, then press the “Add” button.

Then enter the letter “m” and press “Add”, and so on for different letters.

Come sweat a little, but soon the program itself will recognize all the literature. Some programs cannot identify “stuck” letters one by one. No big deal, just inject the steam at once.

If the list is completed to the end, subtitles for the text in SubRip format will appear on the disc. Ring after recognition from the text and messages. You can find them and use any other spell-checking program. For example, Microsoft Word. (Please note that converting subtitles from DVDs using SubRip gives better results - the program bypasses more “sticky” letters and has features for editing the text.)

We create subtitles for the film using the additional program Subtitle Workshop

Various options for synchronizing subtitles using the additional Subtitle Workshop program.

Most importantly, subtitles do not want to “burden” the film. They have to be pushed, and sometimes keep the labor busy. For whose help we will look at the problems that most often arise, and the paths to their development. To work, you will need Subtitle Workshop and when combining VitualDub video files.

Why bother with supplies?

First of all, a film can come in several different versions - for example, Second Edition (SE), Director's Cut (DC), Special Extended Edition (SEE), and so on. Versions for Europe and America often differ. that the same film can have different trivialities - certain scenes can be adapted from the film in the European version, and be present in the American one, and just like that! In fact, on our website there are two translations of the film “Apocalypse now”. Rock, and the other - for 2001. The same situation can be observed with a lot of films, for example, the films "Aliens" and "Leon" also have different versions.

In another way, since the film itself has only one version, the screensaver that conveys the film may differ from different companies that produce DVDs! A common practice when transferring a film to the DivX format is to “cut up” the screensaver, so that it takes up space. The result is a different hour of the film - from several quills (in the “uncut” version), to several seconds (in the “cropped” version).

Thirdly (as has been the case historically), there are PAL and NTSC formats. More SECAM, otherwise you can forget about it. So the axis of the first two formats and the different number of video frames per second. This is the FPS parameter (in English Frames Per Second). PAL has a frame rate of 25 frames, and NTSC 29.97 frames per second. What is it pouring into? There’s a lot to be said for the vitriol of the picture, but there’s no point in teasing us. Since the subtitles (or translation for mp3) are designed for the PAL display frequency, and we try to produce their film with an FPS parameter of 29.97, then the translation will not be saved. The film has already ended, but the translation is still in progress. Just find two trains with the same number of cars, and then they will take you to Various liquids. One has a speed of 25 km per hour, and the other has 30 km per hour. Obviously, the other one passed ahead of you.

Fourthly, again, when encoded in DivX, the film is often cut into two or three strips so that it can be burned onto CDs. I would like to record a film good juiciness, And again, two gigabytes cannot fit into one seat. That's why the film is being cut to pieces. The translation is also cut into the required number of elements. After which, after about an hour, the transfer reaches another person. You are trying to customize the double-disk transfer to your two disks... No such luck!!! Don't come near. It appears that the film is cut into pieces in different places. Sometimes you have to try harder, first you can get everything right.

1:1 We fit single-disc titles to a single-disc film

Problem 1: It's time for subtitles

The most common problem with one-to-one delivery is that the subtitles start to show too late. When you start the film, the titles run at the same speed as the film, but appear before or after the text that is displayed. Sometimes the hour is knocked down by a few seconds, sometimes by a few seconds. To synchronize such titles, very little is required.

Upgrade subtitles to Subtitle Workshop. Press the Ctrl+A keys to see all subtitles, and then press the Ctrl+Z keys. This combination of keys allows you to set the first subtitle to zero, which will save us from confusion in the future.

Go to the video preview mode by pressing the Ctrl+Q keys or selecting Video/Video preview mode from the menu. View the video by pressing Ctrl+P or selecting Video/Open... from the menu

Go ahead, caption whatever we want to synchronize – to the film “Interview with the Vampire”. The first phrase in the file is -
You want me to wake up
you history of my life.
Play the video until you feel it. When the actor says this phrase, the doctor displays approximately 00:02:15,000 (that's two and fifteen seconds).

Stop the video, then press Ctrl+D or select Edit/Timings/Set delay from the menu. In the window, select positive bias (+) for all subtitles. Enter the found hour value - 00:02:15,000, then enter the command.

Problem 2: Broken hour cob and frame rate

Another problem that often arises when matching “one-to-one” is the unknown FPS value (frames per second). When you start the film, the titles will run at a different speed from the film; the beginning of the titles may or may not be saved with the text of the film. Synchronization of such titers is somewhat difficult, but at the same time it is possible.

As in the previous section, download the subtitles in Subtitle Workshop, go to the forward mode (Ctrl + Q), and download the video (Ctrl + P).

Play the video until you understand the first phrase that appears in the subtitles. Press the Alt+F keys to indicate the time of the first dialogue in the video. After that, rewind to the end of the video and find the place where the rest of the phrase appears. Press the Alt+L keys to set the hour for the rest of the dialogue in the video. Then press the Ctrl+B keys or select from the menu Edit/Timings/Adjust subtitles.... The start and end hours of the window will be set automatically. Verify subtitles.

Reverse the result by playing the video from the beginning, for example, and approximately in the middle. If the captions are completed over an hour and in three parts, you can confidently say that the captions have reached the video. Save your work by pressing Ctrl+S. Now the titles are ready to watch your favorite video program again.

Problem 3: Different versions of video and subtitles

Unfortunately, there is no simple method for processing subtitles for one version of a video. It’s easy to spot the wrong version: after applying the method described in Problem 2, the titles ideally fit the video at the very beginning and at the very end, and in the middle of May it will run for a few seconds to a few Khvylin - versions of massacre. You can try to find foreign subtitles that go with the video version, and based on them, create Russian subtitles.

1:2. We adapt single-disc titles to a double-disc film

It is clear that the storage of single-disc titles for a three-disc film can be divided in the same way - it just takes a little more than an hour. When converting single-disc titles to a double-disc film, you may encounter some of the problems described in Section 1:1,

Option 1: Robimo from the film one file

The idea is simple: two or more movie discs are combined into one video file, and then the subtitles are added using one of the methods described earlier.

We copy all the video files that you download to your hard drive. Why do you need a lot of free space?

Let's launch the VitualDub program. Select from the File/Open video file menu and select the first disk. Then we add another item to the desired item using the File/Append video segment menu item. If the film is cut into two parts longer, this menu item can be used for parts of the video.

Press the markings into the bottom of the window to ensure that the strips are connected in the correct order. It’s all right, save the work for help File/Save AVI. You'll have a good hour, so you can go and have some tea.

Once the computer has finished combining parts, the titles can be adjusted as described in Section 1:1. Since there is a single-file movie, you don’t need to go to the computer in the middle of watching it and watch another part.

Option 2: We know the need for a place in the middle of the film

This method is more convenient for us because we don’t know if things can be done better than before, and it doesn’t require free space on the hard drive, so there is no need to copy video files every day.

Fit a set of subtitles to the first disc, as described in Problem 1. After this, play the video with subtitles at the same time, and watch how the captions are saved at the end of the first disc. In most cases, the stink will disappear, so let’s look at this simpler option.

Save the captions to the beginning of the film by pressing the Ctrl+S keys. Then press the Ctrl+T keys, or select Tools/Split subtitle from the menu.

From the window that has opened, select Advanced sectioning At the ends of videos. Set the required number of parts on which the subtitles will be cut. The list displays the names of the contents of the files. By clicking on the name, select a video file for your skin. The remaining part will not require selecting a video file, and the size will be allocated automatically. Then complete the operation.

Now you can try watching your favorite movie with the strips of subtitles removed.

If it has become so that after the film is saved to the beginning, the credits are not saved, then you will need to enter the section manually. This problem often occurs when subtitles are converted from titles based on frames (for example, MicroDVD) with an unknown FPS parameter. Try to find the subtitles for the original video. Quite often it’s English, German, or French - and we learned them at school, and we want to remember them. This can help you joke about the movie in subtitles.

Find in Russian subtitles the place where the first disc of the film ends. For example, the text of the first disc ends at the subtitle number 725, after which the music repeats and the film ends.

See subtitle 725 in the list next to the bear and press Ctrl+T. You can show up where you can display subtitles. Do this so that the selected subtitle is installed and the Recalculate time values checkbox is unchecked.

Complete the operation and you will see two subtitle files - for the first disc and the other. If the film is cut into two pieces more than one piece, complete the described operation with another file, searching for the subtitles required for another and future discs.

You may have as many subtitle files as there are movie disks. Now the subtitle files can be added to the output file using the methods described in Section 1.

2:1. We fit double-disc titles to a single-disc film

To get started, we need to combine the subtitles into one file, after which we move up to the hour before the movie. Press the Ctrl+J keys or select from the Tools/Join subtitles menu.

The window will have a list before you need to add files that you want to combine. First, click on the link, reconfigure the checkboxes Recalculate values and Load file after joining and saving.

Open the program and the program will ask you for the name of the new file. Then the combined subtitles will be automatically imported into the program. Quiet now.

Go to pre-show mode (Ctrl+Q) and view the video (Ctrl+P).

See the first subtitle behind the clicking target. Now you need to play the video until the first text and subtitles are clear. As soon as you feel it (or guess what it is written), press the keys Ctrl + 1, or the button Mark as first sync point.

Click on the mouse to see the subtitle that will remain in the first subtitle file (which we shared). Find the location of the movie where the text of the subtitle you see appears. Press the Ctrl+2 keys, or the Mark as last sync point button.

As soon as everything is completed, a small message will appear at the end, in which program will ask for confirmation of the operation that is completed.

Subtitles that have been lost are transferred to another video disc in a similar manner.

Turn the video over to the robot, having played the film from the beginning, at the end, in the place where the subtitles are glued, and in several other places - so as to save the middle of the first subtitle file, and the middle of the other subtitle file. Since everything is so easy, you can save your work by pressing the Ctrl+S keys. Now the titles are ready to watch your favorite video program again.

2:2. We fit double-disc titles to double-disc films

To avoid hassle, the easiest way is to glue the video into one piece and follow the “2:1 double-disc titles for single-disc film” scheme. If you are not comfortable with this option, try this:

1. find the title: (Ctrl+J)
2. When you receive subtitles, adjust the timing at the point of connection, starting from the point of connection until the end (Ctrl+D)
3. I’ll split the titles: (Ctrl+T) (select “at the end of videos”)

Note. Subtitle Workshop does not understand subtitles in Unicode. These subtitles need to be opened in Notepad, select Save, select ANSI code and save.

Didn't find the required subtitles for Merezha? No problem: they can be “pulled” from DVD Video or Blu-ray. It is impossible for such contractors to work with media containers. Let's talk today about how to make them amazing from more video formats.

I’ll describe the plant first. Many cinephiles are respected for marveling at my original films with subtitles, as it is a translation. There are a few reasons for this, but there is no agreement to go beyond the boundaries of the article (I will also say that I myself often hesitate in this way). It’s also no secret to our readers that optical noses step by step. Those who have a home media server, or are already transferring their film collection to a diskless format, or those who have started to think about it. The most commonly used files at home are MKV files.

Obtaining subtitles using HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Stream Extractor. All threads can be drawn from the container

There are a lot of tools for their creation - for example, HandBrake (handbrake.fr), which I recently described in the article “All-rounder” (div. UPgrade #15-16 (570-571)). There is one really serious problem that faces those who independently work on subtitles. On the right, DVD Video and Blu-ray are bound to get stuck. pre-rendering subtitles - they are already a ready-made picture, which is simply superimposed on the frame (report on types of contractors: ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subtitles).

And the axis of the Matroska container is able to “drive” the text of the text (shed є є є є Romstititi at the files MKV I subtitri, “Vidrani” with the optical disk, Ale Robita is not recommended through the problems of Sumyzo - Bagato of the Speaks, simply not to crap). On the other hand, search for subtitles on the Internet text view(SRT/SMI) does not always give the required result, especially for watching the “extended director’s cut” or, let’s say, films that are not necessarily popular among the average film production audience. It is also necessary to extract a serial record from the disk, convert it to the required format, and then use it with the converter.

In case of misunderstandings, the task is reduced to primary recognition of the text. It’s safe to say that if you type the phrase “FineReader Blu-ray” into the Google search, the first five results will show up as being sufficiently correct. reporting instructions Russian about those how to earn money. First of all, you will have to obtain a commercial security program, but otherwise, the process will turn out to be laborious. Zagalom, not our choice: we will minimize body damage and make do with cat-free software.

The first time the subtitles are rendered needs to be removed. A specific way to be stored in the output format. I will also say that in some emergency you will need a copy of the disk with the film on your hard drive. If the shards of evil have been violated, it is against the law, then I will have to worry about describing it. I think if you're willing, you can easily find the manual in Merezhi.

For Blu-ray, take the console utility eac3to (madshi.net/eac3to.zip). You can, before speaking, “screw” it up graphic shell, of which there are many. I especially liked HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Stream Extractor (code.google.com/p/hdbrstreamextractor), which I recommend. You will need to unzip the archives in the same directory where eac3to lives, and then run HdBrStreamExtractor.exe. Now click the button to the right of the Input field (Select Input File(s) prompt), select the largest file in the STREAM folder with *.m2ts extensions, and then enter the destination directory in the Output field.

You can no longer press the Feature(s) text and wait until the program finishes reading the container. After this, the Stream(s) section will have an overflow of detected streams. If you want, extract everything, if you want, only subtitles: just check the boxes that need to be extracted, and then start the process with the Extract button.

After about an hour (which is the key to keeping track of your PC's speed code; on current machines, extracting subtitles from Blu-Ray discs takes a little more than a year), the results of the work show files with extended *.sup and uninformative names like 1_7 _subtitle (different number given The pad - 7, means the number of the stream). These are our subtitles in pictures, which we now need to recognize.

When talking about DVD Video, you need to take a utility called VobSub Ripper Wizard from the Gabest tab. Please enter the Gordian Knot warehouse and other packages of similar value. However, it is not at all difficult to find a hard drive with unnecessary software: VSRip lingers at the address: sourceforge.net/projects/guliverkli/files/VSRip. There are ZIP archives, in the middle of which there is a single executable file. The interface of the program (which, by the way, was released back in 2003, but works miraculously in Windows 7 x64) is primitive.

We first need to open the file with service information (Load IFO… button), which corresponds to the containers in which the film itself is saved. It’s easy to download it yourself: you need to go to the VIDEO_TS folder and find in it any VOB file with a capacity of 1 GB.

Let's say it's called VTS_01_1 - then the ripper needs to "match" VTS_01_1.IFO (in other words, the numbers in the names after typing the characters "VTS_" are wrong). What should you say in the Save to… field – guess for yourself (smiley). Next we will press Next and at the next stage of the master we will add subtitles to the Languages list required languages. It is important here that all positions are included in the Vob/Cell IDs column - otherwise the subtitles will be distorted. We will press Next again and the output will be two files with the same names and extensions *.idx and *.sub. We stink and need it.

The internal structure of subtitles extracted from DVD Video and Blu-ray is disrupted. For the rest, you can take the SupRip recognition tool (exar.ch/suprip), so that in general you can cope with your tasks - if you want
I can’t say what’s perfect. The “deciphering” of English is much better than Russian (try it if you want, it doesn’t protect anyone). I don’t know about the “dividic” subtitles. People want to use the SubRip software for them (zuggy.wz.cz) - it’s brutal, to the point of speech, respect: the names differ by just one letter, but there is a difference in programs.

The other thing didn’t work out for me: I still couldn’t make friends with the 64-bit “SIM”. Your humble servant did not hesitate to look at the crookedness of his hands - although, of course, he gets screwed in every way. Maybe the truth - as in the popular series - is here, otherwise I won’t reveal it. Then I tried several more similar utilities, but still didn’t know the difference. I am writing about this so that you do not repeat my pardons.

The solution, and the universal one, is the name of the Subtitle Edit (www.nikse.dk/SubtitleEdit). Although I liked this editor, it is important to recognize the pre-rendering of subtitles of both types and more. It expands both in the view of the archive, which does not affect the installation, and in the view of the installer, in fact, it does not interfere with anything. The interface of miraculous Russification (Options > Choose Language), apparently also adds to the report of my online proof - even for the banality - of Pushkin and Dostoevsky. For recognition, use the open source Tesseract OCR engine (code.google.com/p/tesseract-ocr).

However, the first program will begin to work with Russian subs and will need to earn money. To get started, go to the Internet page of the specified engine, in the section we search for the file rus.traineddata.gz, download it and put it in the Tesseract\tessdata folder in the Subtitle Edit program directory. Then we restart the editor, go to the menu “Spelling” > “Trimming Dictionaries...” and select the item in the list called Russian Spelling, Hyphenation, Thesaurus, and then stamp “Enchant” (I think no special explanation is needed here). The axis is now all ready.

To recognize subtitles extracted from DVD Video, select the “Import/OCR VonSub (sub/idx) subtitles...” item in the “File” menu, for a similar operation with subtitles from optical discs, where HD video is saved, - “Import/OCR file Blu-ray sup...”.

In the first case, you will be asked to select the flow from the necessary ones (since there are a few of them), in the other case, it will be immediately launched. From now on, the order of actions does not change. In the “OCR Method” field, you need to uncheck the “OCR with Tesseract” option, in the “Mob” field, select the one that represents your subtitles, and in the “OCR Correction/Spelling” list, you can select the appropriate option. that the secondary dictionaries have been installed. I would also like to enable the option “Write for unknown words” - then you will be asked to manually adjust the unknown word to the spell check module.

With enough training to process Russian subs, the film lasts for 2 years, 30-40 minutes are required. Behind the English ones on the right go even more swedish. Once the process is completed, the text subtitles must be written to disk ("File" > "Save", in the "File type" field, clear SubRip). Also in Subtitle Edit there is a very useful “Synchronization” function, which will help you transfer time codes from one frame rate to another (maybe if you want to screw subtitles, ripped from DVD Video, to a BD rip).

The idea is that after the SRT subtitles have been removed, they can be immediately encapsulated in a container. Ale oskolki automatic recognition I often have mercy, rather than edit them with any editor. I was especially honored with the catless Srt Corrector. If the fragments of the place allocated for the statue were not restored, just wonder yo report description"Small Programs" has UPgrade numbers. U.P.

It's CC on the DVD box

There are subtitles on the disc itself. You can admire them for help Power DVD XP. Closed Captions work in a particularly cunning way, which will be discussed below. So, in order:

"Vіdkriti" subtitles (Subtitles)

To get started, you need to transfer all your favorite movies to your hard drive. At the same time, you need to transfer the ifo file to your hard drive in order to connect to all of them. I recommend using DVDDecrypter to quickly transfer it. You will immediately see movie files and an ifo file when you start it. That's why you need the SubRip program. Once you see the subtitles, you can thoroughly understand them. The remaining version that fell into my cheesy paws is SubRip v1.17.1. Pratsuє is my favorite. There may have been some glitches associated with the appearance of subtitles written with a cover (read the text of a character invisible on the screen). We launch the program.

When you click on this picture, a menu for selecting files and settings appears.

Pressing the button Open IFO And you can specify an IFO file that is transferred to the hard drive simultaneously from the files.

This means files that you want to process. All files are selected for processing (to process the entire movie).
- From whose window the subtitle language is selected. Information is taken from the IFO file.
- If you want to obtain a specific title or name (and you have a wide IFO file), then here you can specify the directory where it is located or specify specific names.
- For cutaneous DVD, a matrix of signs and their correspondence to letters and symbols is formed. In this window you can enter the name of the file and save it later, go back and process another stream of subtitles.
- This is a file containing a character matrix for your DVD, which you can download by pressing this button.
- Having entered the settings and files, the process starts.

For the beginning of the program to appear, it is correct to select the pictures. Whatever is “correct”, then. The more readable the text, the better it is.

Control text. The more readable, the better
- In this window you can select options for displaying subtitles in the program.
- If, for whatever reason, the text does not control you as a control, by pressing this button you can skip this picture and go to the next one. Having selected the most readable text, press OK.

The sign that is currently being viewed is displayed here. Tobto. The program has used an unknown sign and shows you what the letter and symbol are.
- Which window indicates the letter or symbol that the program is asking about.
- The srt subtitle format allows you to specify an option for displaying subtitles. Poor, fat, under-chaired. The hidden text is the text of characters that are not visible on the screen. Tobto. The stolen text goes “words through the frame.” In this case, if you want the subtitles to appear as abbreviated, check the box next to Italic.
- Placing a checkmark allows the program to “remember” the writing option of the current text and not change the writing until the checkbox is unchecked. Tobto. If I have a lot of text to steal, I check the box opposite Italic and order in the box. Until I uncheck the box opposite Italic - all the text that comes up will go like hell.
- Which window displays recognition text from the timer (indicating the hour and duration of display).
- Indicator of the progress of viewing subtitles. After the process is completed, you can do the same steps to remove the text from the body.

Remove subtitles from srt format.
- During the process of processing English subtitles, the program may confuse the letters I(i) and l(el), and the symbols 'i'. An option is given to customize this and serve. pressing Correct.

For adding subtitles to the hour or for adjusting their content.

Time Offset/Start Match- You can specify how much time you want to add or select (Minus) in the time interval of the skin subtitle.
Time Stretch/Spee Adjust- You can specify how many times you need to change the subtitle level. After the appointment, press Correct Time.

The output program can accommodate a large number of subtitle formats. When you press this button, you can convert the captured subtitles into the required format. For the skin format, it is clear that adjustments are low.

The program allows you to divide subtitles into multiple pieces. Very handy for producing 2-3 CD versions of films.

The beginning is set to the beginning and end of the first piece of film (hour). After this, the entire subtitle section is saved. After this, the beginning and end of another piece of film is set. And another piece of subtitles is saved.

Saving subtitles.
- Clear the window from subtitles. Axis, power, and that’s it. As a result, you output subtitles in the required format. In principle, they can also be converted from format to format.

"Close" subtitles (Closed Captions)

As with “closed” subtitles, you can’t do this without dubbing the DVD to a hard drive. Moreover, the problem in this case is that it is best to rewrite it in one piece. Tobto. Save a vob file on your hard drive, 5-7 gigabytes in size (for operating systems Windows NT, 2000, XP). In order to simplify the acquisition of data, some programs and technologies do not support the ability to automatically switch to the next version of vob when subtitles are disabled. Otherwise, you will have to re-install the new program, and then remove the files with subtitles and glue them together (Windows 95, 98 operating systems). For now, I’ll take the presence of one whole vob as a given. If you still have a lance, then do the same things together, and then I’ll describe what to do. So you need a program Grapheditі CCParser. (Before speaking, all programs are cynically obsessed with the address doom9.org). Before running Graphedit, be sure to register all filters. To do this, you can run register.bat from graphedit. There is also a need for visibility installed DirectX, versions not lower than 7.0

Launchable Graphedit. Onslaught Ctrl+F or select a menu item Graph-Insert Filters

List of available filters. All the filters we need can be found in the section DirectShow Filters
- To add a specific filter, you must either click on the new one twice with the mouse, or, having seen it, press the button Insert Filter. There is little difference in the stock of filters and the way they are connected. Lie down operating system. Tobto. For Windows systems XP will have one option, but for other systems there will be another. Filters that are needed (they need to be added): File Source (Async.)- when added, you will be asked for the file name - point to your vob.

Infinite Pin Tee Filter
Line 21 Decoder(for Windows XP - Line 21 Decoder 2)
Overlay Mixer(for Windows XP you don't need to add anything)
Dump- when adding you will be asked for the name of the file - indicate whatever name it is with extensions.bin.
Video Renderer(for Windows XP - Video Mixing Renderer) Now these filters need to be put together in a lanyard. It's easy to connect the filters. Use a bear to click on the filter output and pull the arrow to the input of the filter without releasing the key. For systems running Windows XP, it will look like this (no XP has this option. And for the XP layout, look lower)

Output filter File Source (Async.)(Vts_02_1.vob on the little one) connected to the Input filter MPEG-2 Splitter

In the same way, you can remove subtitles for all videos from Lantsyuzhka one by one. In principle, it is possible
