Forums: engines, servers and everything, everything, everything. First steps in search optimization Simple Machines Forum: copyright and current messages are visible Index php topic powered by smf

Well, let’s start doing a little for the optimization and promotion of sites (forums) on phpBB. In this case, we will carry out a small hack that will help you improve your appearance. Powered by phpBB ©... ". In this publication we will look at 2 ways, for which you can get help - a method for phpBB 3.x.x.

This is the latest message Powered by phpBB © 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group and Russian support phpBB

The first way to see a new message with the letter Powered by phpBB © 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group. And so, the easiest way is to go to the additional admin panel. We go to the admin panel, go to the “Styles” menu item, go to the main panel, remove the block from the menu, select the “Style Components” block, and in the new “Templates”. The following are available as standard in the registered window: prosilver and subsilver2, although there may be others where you installed them. Zagalom is not the point. From the induced set, we select vikorystovuvaniya for zamovchuvannyam. Click on the “change” button in order from the template. Next comes the statement “Select file for template”. Next, select “Template file” - “overall_footer.html”. Below is the HTML editor. We know the offensive code: " Powered by phpBB 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group"And just visible, if you want you can insert your message and writing."
(TRANSLATION_INFO)
" (which is located below, can also be deleted) - this code indicates localization, for example, an external message with the inscription “Russian support of phpBB”.

Another way to see external messages with the letter Powered by phpBB © 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007 phpBB Group. This method is similar, but we connect to the site using the ftp protocol. Let's move on to the next step styles/im'ya_template/template/overall_footer.html. I edit the same code that we have edited before. If you change the code, do not forget to install UTF code- this is how “crackers” (squares and other incomprehensible symbols) may appear in the place of anchors.

Everyone knows that I simply cannot live without Joomla, but, in my opinion, there are no good forum components. That's why I work with forum engines. One of the new ones, as I just recently started to become a vikorist, is starting a new category of SMF, I am sure, with precious material. We start small, and as newbies, it’s as big as koris.

First steps in search optimization Simple Machines Forum: copyright and external messages are visible

Please note that I am working only on smf 2 and this article will apply to this version of the catless forum engine.

And so, regular readers know how much I don’t like to rate “10” external messages on the official sites of engines, including forum ones. In the meantime, we kindly note the copyright and as many as 4, respectfully 4 external messages sent to us " SMF 2.0.2 | Simple Machines | SMF © 2011 | XHTML"! For whom we connect to the site FTP forum/Themes/ name of your theme design/ta editable file index.template.php. Naturally, at the very bottom there is a code (about 330 rows) that displays the messages we don’t like from outside. So we see: "

  • ", theme_copyright(), "
  • "і"
  • ", $txt["xhtml"], "
  • Everything is so simple and easy. Check your nearest publications for new materials so that the forums on SMF are updated and optimized/

    Tours and repairs in Australia

Forums on the Internet are one of the most popular types of Internet resources. It’s entirely understandable that some of the forums are an ideal platform for the perfect gathering of guides. The forum is a wonderful way to organize cohesion on your site and form a consistent audience of sponsors.

There are a lot of forum engines. I have long wanted to take a look at the engines of the forums. I won’t compare them with each other – that’s the topic of this article.

When choosing an engine for the Raja forum, consider your upcoming moments:

    1. What functionality of the forum do you need? Most forum engines have a wide range of capabilities, but not all forum CMS implement such nuances. I recommend that you go to the official websites and engines and check with detailed description functional.

    2. A paid or cost-free engine - at this point it is also necessary to repair it. In general, there are two paid engines - vBulletin and IPB, which are free of charge.

    3. The development of sophistication - if the engine has increased competition both in the English and Russian Internet, this is a great plus. The development of sophistication is directly related to a number of different modifications, modifications and design templates. Since the engine has innumerable strength, it is necessary to take care that there are many moments where you will have to self-tighten.

    4. Date stay updated engine - since the engine has not been updated for a long time, it is worth mentioning that the developers have not developed it or have abandoned development. This is a big minus. Internet technologies are constantly developing, and the forum with outdated functionality has the potential for further development.

Garazd, pour out the thick shit 🙂. I’ll start with the most popular forum engines, based on this CMS rating.

This is my favorite forum engine, and my forum Planet Photoshop I use this engine myself. The reason is not only the fact that the forum has a costless engine, but also the fact that due to its wide functionality, it can be blamed for its popularity both on the English-language Internet and on the RuNet, because for phpBB a completely mod for any relish has been developed, I will help which can be further expanded in functionality.

Logs of the activities of the correspondent, moderator, administrator, precise adjustment of access rights of the moderator and administrator, identification of search robots, created groups of contributors, training, contributions to subordinates and special information - This is part of the phpBB functionality.

I also like those in which phpBB is directly developing from version to version. phpBB is handy for both administrators and moderators and primary contributors.

My thought for the whole world is that phpBB is a wonderful forum engine, which does not have enough resources for hosting, but provides all the necessary potential for running a forum.

    Corysny resources from phpBB:

Invision Power Board is a paid forum engine that is very popular on the Internet. Variety in RuNet can be identified. There are a lot of popular forums working on this site. There may be an accusation of sophistication on the English and Russian Internet.

For IPB there are additional official programs (gallery, blog, file archive module). In addition, there is a visual message editor, a text version of the forum, optimized for search robots, a tool for manually backing up the forum database, a report log of the activities of administrators and moderators, as well as a log of the activities of search robots.

Corysny websites for Invision Power Board:

🔥 Before we speak! I am conducting a paid course on the promotion of English-language websites SEO Shaolin. If you want, you can apply on your website seoshaolin.com.

vBulletin is a wonderful forum engine. Vіn paid, vartіst can be identified. Next to IPB, vBulletin is the leader among paid engines.

Support for podcasting, automatic generation of RSS feed for the forum, the possibility of creating social groups and clubs with interests on the forum, galleries of photographs of contributors, tags are supported, the possibility of adding topics to the forum social bookmarking by the journalists themselves - the axis of vBulletin’s greatest ability, in my opinion.

punBB is a very easy and simple forum. The forum control panel is manual and intuitive. punBB has less capacity, but is compensated by the speed of its work and the slowness of hosting resources.

PUNBB distributors place an emphasis on lightness, fluidity and compactness.

    Korisny resources on punBB:

YaBB is a cost-free forum engine written in Perl. Unlike most other forum engines, YaBB uses files rather than a database to save data.

Zruchny text editor for writing notifications, wide possibilities for administrators and moderators, the ability to change settings and templates “on the fly”, the ability to turn a page into a “version for a friend” - this is not all the capabilities of the YaBB forum engine.

Nina has little access. If you would like to know about those drying methods that give a good effect for increasing the target fluidity, then I can submit my paid investigation. how the stinks are leaking and describing how you can vikoristuvat the leaking of your resources.

SMF is another fast and lightweight forum engine. It is powerless for server resources and is actively gaining popularity.

OpenID support, a system for getting ahead of clients, the ability to moderate those, notifications and contributions, a WYSIWYG editor for notifications – and that’s not all that SMF allows!

Intelligence Board- Original bezkoshtovny engine. The idea of the Intellect Board developers is to create a website based on the forum. The functionality of the Intellect Board is very wide - a collection of articles, presentations, news, archives of files, photo gallery, IRC chat, encyclopedia. In essence, Intellect Board is a full-fledged website management system.

The main features of the Intellect Board - the ability to set rules for all sections, support for graphic libraries GD and GD2 for creating modified copies of pictures and photographs, the ability to make changes in advance and if desired by moderators and administrators (if why the lines can be both lineless and hour-bound), rating tim, articles, files and photographs/

    ExBB (Exclusive Bulletin Board))

ExBB is a lightweight and engine-free forum engine. It, like YaBB, does not use a database and saves information in text files.

ExBB has new advantages: pages are generated quickly, the attack on the server is minimal, there is a high level of resistance to evil, the forum runs on files, databases are not required, for this robot it is enough that the hosting has PHP support.

Vanilla is an original forum engine that excels in its modularity. A great plus of this forum CMS is that most modules can be installed in one click

Advantages of Vanilla: a powerful framework that allows you to write extensively, the ability to do everyday tasks (voting, tags, blogs, chat, karma-like add-ons), ease of installation of add-ons (in most cases, by pressing one button – that’s all!), expansion of standard functionality (modularity) for more shells, about 450 of which have been written at a time.

Another great feature of the Vanilla forum engine is the “Whispers” system - you can simply send information about whispers to someone without depriving the page of those, or create a “whispers” topic, which will be the real history of listing.

Let's take a look at the code in the main script:

    #!/usr/bin/perl

    # which-forum.pl script
    # (c) 2010 Alexandr A Alexeev, http://site/

You will find these other scripts revealed in the post in your archive.

Script which-forum.pl The code of the html-story is used to ensure that the signatures of the forum engine are obvious. We used a similar technique with WordPress and Joomla, as well as a number of admins. First of all, the script itself does not read the side code, but reads it from stdin or the file passed as an argument. This allows you to access a page once, for example, using wget, and then run it through a number of analyzers, as there is more than one of them. In other words, the script's signature is 100% engine-signature. Last time, the visibility of the signature increased the strength of the main engine and “powered” the engine with maximum output. I believe that in this case such an approach is no good for compiling the code.

To protest the script's robot, I did a little research. I compiled a list of tens of thousands of forums and ran each of them through my script, thereby indicating the number of applications for programs and the popularity of various engines.

To get the list of forums, I quickly used my Google parser. Sound system tried to ask the guy

    site:forum.*.ru
    site:talk.*.ru
    site:board.*.ru
    site:smf.*.ru
    site:phpbb.*.ru
    ....

And so on. You can find the full code for the query generator in the file gen-forumsearch-urls.pl. Krim zone.ru also vikorized.su.ua.kz and.by. Last time, it was important to conduct such an investigation, since most WordPress and Joomla sites do not contain such signatures in the URL. Catalogs like cmsmagazine.ru/catalogue/ do not provide sufficient selection information. What are 600 sites on Drupal?

Needless to say, the results of the experiment confused me. Of the 12,590 sites monitored, only 7,083 search engines were successful, which is less than 56% of the results. Maybe I didn’t lie to any engine? Is Bitrix still standing on half of the forums? Why spend more than an hour searching for signatures? I'm sorry, there is a need for additional investigations here.

Among 56% of successfully introduced engines, the most popular, as a result, were IPB (31%), phpBB (26.6%) and vBulletin (26.5%)

They are closely followed by SMF (5.8%) and DLEForum (5.3%). My love punBB appeared less in 6 places (1.64%). I wouldn’t put much faith in these numbers (having said that, the third forum on the RuNet works on IPB), but it’s possible to earn some money.

For example, if you intend to operate a site on a forum and plan to modify the forum, say, pay 0.01 $ per skin for automatically displaying cash once a week, then you should choose one of the three w popular engines. The more popular the forum, the greater the chance of finding a programmer who will understand well.

If the actual changes are not transferred to the engine, then it is possible to select a less popular engine, such as SMF or punBB. This way you will change the number of hacker attacks on your forum and the number of spams that are automatically sent to your new forum.

Scripts for searching/using forums can also have more than one practical use. The first thing that came to my mind is to sort by TIC-recognized forums and place on the first hundred posts sent to one of your sites. However, hundreds of forum dofollow-posters didn’t get into the TIC (2 updates have passed), so it’s better not to waste an hour here, since you won’t be bothered to move on.

It is clear that the number of scripts is far from uniform. I think you can easily figure out how to vikorize them.
