When the first thought came to mind about buying a Nexus 7, my interest turned to videos and articles about it. All characteristics have been learned to remember, but I still want to learn more. And after the purchase, the first thing that came to mind was: I didn’t see myself that way at all. It is possible that these points will be applied to all devices on pure Android, but at the same time it will create a secret hatred about the devices.
1. In front of everyone, the buttons for cooking and food were barking for unmanageable removal. The problem turned out to be much simpler: you can ring in two days, and then all other devices will appear inoperable. In the original case, pressing on them becomes even easier. So for me it’s not a minus of this addition.
2. Why are Nexus devices so valuable? They are the first to update to new versions. The Nexus 7 box comes with Android 4.3, but then in theory you have to upgrade to KitKat.
In practice, renewal can only come within a week. And, obviously, in the wake of the new Android, you are forced to read a bunch of reviews, and unanimously talk about such a feature as “Ok, Google” and the new launcher. And after the update, the one thing that immediately catches your eye is the up arrow replacing the circle at the bottom on the unlock screen. A bunch of new icons. And that's all. The main thing that you need to download is the launcher, and in the new we are most aware of what is new in the updated one. Ale vin just got too much. 3. Get warm. So, it is often said that in the new Nexus the processor heating is practically reduced to zero. It is possible, at least, to compare with the old version, but at least the tablet will burn your fingers. To be honest, I was a little annoyed when, after taking the device out of the box and playing with it for a little while, I didn’t see the same kind of tickers either on the back panel or on the display. Of course, stains appear over time, but the stench of the tabletops is easily erased, so it’s not worth paying attention to, in my opinion.
Nexus 7 2013 is probably the best tablet to buy. And if there are special smells, then the stench is entirely positive. Not many people are serious enough to care about robots. In the month that has passed since the day of purchase, Nexus has become an invisible part of life, and now I am happy to thank you for it.

Design and ergonomics

The back part is made of soft-touch plastic, which prevents the device from getting rough in your hand. However, as it is a large soft-touch surface, greasy marks are clearly visible on it. There won't be any smudges, just like on the gloss, but you won't have to wipe the body. I am glad that the back cover does not bend when the central part is pressed into it.
The new Nexus 7 has become noticeably thinner, a little thinner. The frames on the top and bottom are too large, I think the body could have been made even more compact. The dimensions of the new and old models are consistent: 114 x 200 x 8.65 and 198.5 x 120 x 10.45. The weight of the tablet is 290 grams, which is 50 grams less than the second model. Trim the tablet vertically with one hand manually; in landscape orientation, the large chin and chin (c) play the role of handles for trimming. The blending of the elements has changed a little, equalized with the other option. We are talking about the consistency of all parameters: pixel density, brightness, contrast, image quality, proximity to natural colors. I can’t say for sure what the largest display is, but it’s definitely among the best. The Nexus 7 has the highest number of pixels per inch - 323. For comparison, the iPhone 5 has the same number of pixels - 326. Look at it as much as possible, otherwise it’s tediousness. The separate screen size is 1920x1200 pixels, and part of the space is occupied by functional keys for back, home and multitasking. The new thing is that there is an HD display, but it wouldn’t look like a failure, it’s still clearer, it’s still sharper in the iPad mini, or Full HD - it’s just to be different from others. Screen type - IPS. A brightness of 590 nits is sufficient for more comfortable use of the tablet in bright light. The minimum brightness should be kept low so as not to strain the eyes in the dark.

Front camera - 1.3 MP, video at 720p. They stuck it from the center to the right corner, through it, talking on Skype with video, they had to slightly screw up the tablet so that it was in the center. And even worse - the main 5 MP camera appeared on the back. You can record video up to 1080p. The brightness of both cameras is average, but their visibility is definitely a plus. Technical specifications and software
The previous generation of Nexus 7 was based on the Nvidia Tegra 3 processor and the price could not be taken into account. The new thing is better, the Nexus 7 of the next generation has a good processor. Maybe Snapdragon 600, but not at all. In the middle is the four-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064, which runs at a clock frequency of 1.5 GHz, based on the Krait 300 computing cores (as in the 600). The graphics core is Adreno 320. RAM is 2 GB, assigned for the device - 16 or 32. There are no slots for memory cards, as is also true for nexuses. The tablet turned out to be even faster, it doesn’t sacrifice anything on the iPad 4 and actually surpasses the iPad mini in the speed of work. Games such as Real Racing 3, Dead Trigger and others run on maximum graphics settings. The main thing is that the processor and graphics can easily cope with such a high resolution display. I sincerely respect that when installing everything from Google Play, it does not affect the smoothness of the interface. And so not everyone can use top-end devices.
